A push by Texas Republicans for a rare mid-decade gerrymander threatens to set off a vicious cycle in which the parties fight for small political gains and voters lose, @dgraham.bsky.social argues in The Atlantic Daily.

Dear Pedo Lover,

Your article literally says the biggest hurdle for Dems is that they tried to play fair by legislating bipartisan commissions for map appointment in their states.

And the conclusion is by playing fair, they shouldn't now protest Republicans rigging elections.

Get bent, Pedo Lover.

Ah, an article by the author of the book,

"Resistance (At All Costs)": How Trump Haters Are Breaking America
Hardcover " October 15, 2019
by Kimberley Strassel

... and Trumpers wonder why people say they aren't interested facts, just in Party Spin.

And when she says, 'All Costs", she and they mean at the cost of the Economy, Justice, and the Constitution itself.... as one might expect of a Traitorous Cult.

#1. That's an obstacle in Cali. Of course you disingenuously cherry pick the article to misrepresent what it says overall. But that's just you being you.

Hey Jeff, and I mean this most sincerely.

I wish you weren't such a ----------- coward so you'd have the guts to shoot yourself in the head.

Accounts like this one is what's going to put this site on a watch list.

Not to mention, encouraging suicide is the lowest form of human behavior.

Democrats must be on to something ... Dingaling is posting an WSJ opinion piece like it's a fact.

Considering what's at stake, Dems, where possible, should gerrymander out EVERY republican congressional representative that they can.

I posted this link in another thread ...

Redistricting Wars: Map Shows How Many Seats Could Change Before Midterms

According to that map (and emphasis on "could change"), the end result looks pretty even.

If that's the best the Dems can do, that's the way it is. But they certainly shouldn't stand around with their hands in their pockets and hope the GOP decides to start playing fair. The GOP, the same party that continues disenfranchising every American citizen they can in their quest for power.

Last week, the Florida Supreme Court twisted a historic provision of the U.S. Constitution, meant to protect minority voters, as a means to disenfranchise them.

The ruling was signed off by five members of the Supreme Court, all Gov. Ron DeSantis appointees. They invoked the Equal Protection Clause of the 14th Amendment to uphold his cynical 2022 gerrymander that deprived Black voters across North Florida of any chance to be represented in Congress by someone who looked like them.

@#11 ... But they certainly shouldn't stand around with their hands in their pockets and hope the GOP decides to start playing fair. ...

I do not disagree.

... The GOP, the same party that continues disenfranchising every American citizen they can in their quest for power. ...

The GOP, in their "Party over Democracy" efforts, seem to be making a major effort (more major than they've done in the past) to change election dynamics.

What's the change?

Prior to MAGA, elections were about "voters choosing their politicians."

Now MAGA seems to want to change that into "politicians choosing their voters."

Your reading comprehension sucks. Per usual. I have not complained one iota that Dems might retaliate against Texas. The point of this thread is they are at a serious structural disadvantage.

Your knee jerk reactions are weak.
