"Private" healthcare wants those patients. It doesn't know what to do with them, but it wants them.

Theirs, of course.
Now they're finding out that's partially true-it's just not their pockets.

Healthcare Inc! knows what to do with them.....deny their claims, declare bonuses to the C-suite, increase dividends to shareholders and hire armed security for the sociopath CEO's.

This is no defense whatsoever of the current private insurance system we currently have.......BUT....
....isn't what should scare you a little about moving to a socialized medicine system? Someone like Trump gets elected and he can royally screw up your healthcare?

Oh dear.
Is the new Ministry of Suckers and Losers having staffing issues? Thanks for bringing this to the attention of Dear Leader. We will have that data scrubbed immediately and have the head of that agency sent to a Trumpy loyalty camp for the proper indoctrination and re education.
THANK YOU FOR YOUR ATTENTION TO THIS IMPORTANT MATTER.

struggling to fill jobs for doctors, nurses and psychologists
Headline sucks.
That's not a "staffing" shortage, that's a medical professional shortage, which is everywhere. Takes a long time to mint a doctor or nurse, and to top it off, the pay isn't that good.
And in the good areas, where everyone wants to be, there is no shortage. I know many veterans who have applied to work at the VA for years and never got a call back.

You are a fool and a liar. And you hate Veterans as much as you hate black people.
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is facing significant budget cuts due to the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) initiative, which has led to concerns about reduced services and longer wait times for veterans' healthcare. Although the VA initially planned to cut over 80,000 jobs, it has since scaled back to approximately 30,000 positions through attrition, but this still poses risks to service delivery www.afge.org

Why would anyone want to go work for the racist fascist Federal Government anyway?
If I were a doctor I would not accept a job where the Executive can fire me at any time for no reason, like Trump and DOGE do.

Dems have fought for decades now to make living off of government cheese more lucrative and fulfilling for many people than actually getting jobs.
"If I were a doctor I would not accept a job where the Executive can fire me at any time for no reason, like Trump and DOGE do."
The argument still stands then, is it better to hire people to do very little and waste taxpayer money or is it better to not have the position exist because it's not needed and saves taxpayer money. I'm not saying either way is right, personally I think having jobs is better than not but then you have to consider the taxpayer ramification with the absurd amount of debt we are already in.
Also, and this is the biggest part of liberal hypocrisy, you fight so much for socialized medicine when all that does is enable MORE people than just the POTUS to be able to fire you for whatever reason they want.
This is the lack of ability to see more than 2 days ahead that so many people have. Something sounds good but they don't actually consider the long-term ramifications.

The problem at the VA has been brewing for years, Trump et al have accelerated and exacerbated it. First time I was hired at the VA it took 8 months to get through all the committees and credentialing. That was in the mid 90's. Now it can take over a year, so in the meantime a professional will find other work and withdraw their application.

My gut went sideways back in early March, and the colonoscopy that should have been performed then will finally happen next month, but not at the VA hospital--as they no longer have the personnel on staff qualified to perform the procedure, nor do they do any surgeries requiring general anesthesia for the same unfortunate reason. It took 6 months for me to find a local clinic willing to fit me in their schedule. I'm pushing 80...I don't have a whole lot of time left to wait for treatment for the kind of age-related medical issues I anticipate will present themselves eventually. Everyone knows what is happening at the VA, and has been happening since TrumpCo's 1st administration --stressing the system just enough to break it, then proffer privatization as THE only solution.

"stressing the system just enough to break it, then proffer privatization as THE only solution."
I'm repeating this with the expectation that exactly Zero Republicans will deny it, dispute it, agree with it, or comment on it in any capacity whatsoever.
