How about a prize for the neediest convicted felon ever to waddle around the globe begging for something almost certainly beyond his tiny, sweaty, avaricious grasp.

sought New Delhi's backing for a Nobel Peace Prize nomination
Lewzer has no idea what the Peace Prize is, or how, why, or by whom it is awarded.
The only thing he knows about the Nobel Peace Prize is that he doesn't have one, and he desperately wants it.

My bet is this year the Nobel Committee breaks tradition and gives it to Pope Francis.

Lewzer version:
The United States got "directly involved" when India and Pakistan were involved in a military conflict earlier this year, claimed US Secretary of State Marco Rubio. He reiterated America's earlier claim that US President Donald Trump stopped the war between the nuclear-armed South Asian nations. Rubio said that Trump is committed to peace and being the "president of peace". "And so, we saw when India and Pakistan went to war, we got involved directly, and the president was able to deliver on that peace," Rubio said.
India has denied the claims, maintaining that the ceasefire was achieved through talks between the Indian and Pakistani militaries and not US mediation. Last month, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh told the Lok Sabha, the lower house of parliament, that it was "completely incorrect and baseless to say that the military action was stopped because of pressure". "India halted its operation because all the political and military objectives studied before and during the conflict had been fully achieved," he said. He also claimed the decision was taken after a request from Pakistan's Director General of Military Operations (DGMO), who "pleaded for relief".

Sidelining Trump, China's Xi rolls out carpet for Ukraine war aggressors www.reuters.com
... In a show of solidarity with the aggressors in Europe's worst war in 80 years, China's Xi Jinping will convene with his Russian and North Korean counterparts for the first time as Donald Trump and other Western leaders watch on. The gathering of Vladimir Putin and Kim Jong Un in Beijing this week is testament to the Chinese president's influence over authoritarian regimes intent on redefining the Western-led global order while Trump's threats, sanctions and tariff-driven diplomacy strain long-standing U.S. alliances, geopolitical analysts say. The leaders' milestone meeting in the Chinese capital also raises the prospect of a new trilateral axis building on the mutual defence pact signed between Russia and North Korea in June 2024 and a similar alliance between Beijing and Pyongyang, an outcome that could change the military calculus in the Asia-Pacific region. ...

@#10 ... Don't think Modi is going to play. ...
Yeah.
Prime Minister Modi does not appear to be in sight for the subsequent meetings and, most importantly, the military parade.
Quite the balancing act that is.
imo, of course.

The Nobel Prize selection committee should troll Trump by choosing Gavin Newson to win the Peace Prize this year. That would be ABSOLUTELY PRICELESS.

What is it with you guys and datafarming secondary/tertiary sources? archive.is
If your propaganda says "The New York Times reported.", then why not simply link the upstream source (or buy an ad)
"the Times reported, citing interviews with unnamed people in New Delhi and Washington. "The not-so-subtle implication, according to people familiar with the call, was that Modi should do the same," the report said."
Oh I see, there's really no source, and the "Trump said" assertion is only an inference.
"The NYT noted that the White House did not acknowledge the June 17 call, nor did Trump post about it on his social media accounts. "
So, maybe there wasn't a "call" at all, maybe there was... Waow! leftists can sure pile up a large amount of nothing on top of a speculation resting on a presumption.
Say, what happened to the "offering Russia Alaska's minerals" story? You shouldn't get mad at me, I'm not the one feeding you vomit...
