... The facility, which called itself "Colorado's Best Psychiatric Hospital," touted "exceptional psychiatric care in a world-class environment," including a "state-of-the-art" 63,000-square-foot facility decked out with crafts areas, light therapy rooms and "cozy nooks."

During the intake process, Keele said she told a nurse about her son's yearslong battle with mental illness, how he had struggled to keep up with his treatments, hold down a job and keep a roof over his head. How he had stopped taking his psychiatric medications. How just before he left that night he had told his fiancee that he wanted "some alone time" in the valley's rolling hills.

But 102 minutes after he arrived at West Springs, a nurse discharged him. ...

A curious aspect of this is that the GOP seems to often blame ~shooters~ because of mental health issues.

So, then the GOP -- and hey, MAGA that means you -- should be against this apparent practice of mental institutions?

@#4 ... The Executive Branch has job openings ...

Really?

If so, maybe the Executive Branch may have an issue recruiting those who bow in adulation to Pres Trump, instead of upholding the Constitution?

Colorado psych facilities should not be turning away patients.

Colorado Firearms Licenses in 2021: 149,382

An estimated 45.1% of adults in Colorado say they live in homes with guns.

Colorado has one of the highest suicide rates in the US and was the scene of an infamous mass killing. James Eagan Holmes perpetrated the 2012 Aurora theater shooting in which he killed 12 people and injured 70 others (62 directly and eight indirectly) at a Century 16 movie theater on 20 July 2012.

It is the worst of illusions, the one that says that cutthroat capitalism will work things out for everyone, as it chases a profit. In fact, what does happen, is that great sums of wealth accumulate in fewer and fewer hands, in huge corporate boardrooms, and then the country's output is devoted to the welfare of the rich. So taking from the poor to give to the rich is seen as a good thing, efficiency and all that.
We need national health care, and we need it now.

How is this possible?

In Colorado, you do not need a gun license to own a firearm. Colorado law does not require a license for possession, but if you purchase a firearm from a licensed dealer, you will need to undergo a background check. Additionally, while a permit is not required for ownership, specific circumstances, such as carrying a concealed handgun, may have different requirements.
