The United States and Canada scrambled multiple aircraft to track Russian military planes flying near Alaska on Wednesday. The North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) said that its aircraft tracked two Tupolev Tu-95 four-engine strategic bombers and two Sukhoi Su-35 air defense fighters in the Alaska Air Defense Identification Zone (ADIZ). NORAD, a joint U.S.-Canadian command, said it dispatched an E-3 Sentry surveillance plane, four F-16 Fighting Falcons and four KC-135 aerial tankers to intercept the Russian aircraft, which remained in international airspace.

" Did pedo 47 roll out the red carpet for the orc bombers?"

Considering jets were scrambled to intercept these Russian planes the answer is obviously "no."

Yes... indeedeedoo he did. August 15th, 2025. Trumpanzie hosted a mini vay-cay in A K for his Pootay... He called it a summit... and as per usual... Putin turned it into a work weekend gathering intelligence so he has something to use so he can feck with Trumpanzee's head...

It's working too...

Trumpanzee is old and outclassed.

Somebody told Trump he got rolled in Alaska. Now he hates Putin but he's still scared to death of him.

Which is why Trump said he would send aid to Ukraine but only through the European Union.

Trump is an angry coward. Angry at Putin but too cowardly to face him down over Ukraine.

This is routine. I'm not sure why Russian aircraft operating in international airspace is even being reported.

US RIVET JOINT ISR jets used to fly orbits inside the Sea of Okhotsk on the western side of the Kamchatka Peninsula. Technically they were in international airspace and there wasn't much the commies could do about it without getting into trouble.

Alaska Air Defense Identification Zone (ADIZ).

It's being reported because Donald Trump has broadly enabled Putin and given the entire world the war jitters.

The United States is at its weakest point militarily since just after the attack on Pearl Harbor. This is the dictator's unique accomplishment. If there is a purge of high ranking officers this week, things will be worse.

But the first blow struck will be a terrorist attack, because Donald has left that door wide, wide open.

"Alaska Air Defense Identification Zone (ADIZ)."

It's an ADIZ. Anyone can fly in it. Everyone should fly in it.

The fact that they launched F-16s and not F-22s shows the level of concern.

I was once flying when the Colombo Oceanic Control Area (Sri Lanka) tried to deny our flight clearance into the OCA. We did it anyways. They had no right to prevent it, and we did it anyway. Their job is to track flights as best they can if there is a problem. Nothing else.

Well, of course.

For bonus points: Why does it concern them? AKA, what does the incursion mean?

Not much.

The ADIZ is a buffer zone. Once penetrated, NORAD will launch fighters to slip into formation with the Russian jets. They will follow them until they turn cold away from the US.

The point of the Russian incursion was to determine exactly if they would do that.

They want to see how far down the military fish the rot has spread from the dictator's head.

There is always a war plan, and it has to be updated often...how will the enemy respond if we do this or that.
Russia knows how we will plan push back if war comes,
Odd that Trump is pretending to be a strongman, a Daddy figure, since he is almost always in the corner of the enemy if they come by and look him in the eye. He doesn't have a relationship with Putin, he was put in his place and he knows it.
