USSECDEF Pete Hegseth has "lost the trust and respect" of several top military members, thanks in large part to his "grandstanding" public appearances.

The change appears to be part of a broader effort by Hegseth to exert tighter control over what the department communicates to the outside world.

I do note that the Washington Times did not sign on to agree to publish only articles about the Pentagon that Sec Hegseth approves of.

Who did sign on to that dictum?

OAN, for one.

Competent people know competence and dedication to duty and to the welfare of all, and I have trouble thinking of even one person Trump has nominated or hired who was anything but a subservient tool to the Trump grand conspiracy of elevating him and disempowering the poor and the powerless.

Reminder that the right wing propagandists didn't sign on due to some sort of patriotism or mutual support of other press but to avoid being the subject of lawsuits moving forward if they happen to print something that pisses off the regime.

When the invasion happened, I was at work. I was scouring all the news sites seeing what sort of open-source information was being reported. Even RT had up-front reporting of the invasion. OANN had an up-front report on Hunter Biden's laptop. You had to scroll pretty far down to see anything about the invasion.
