Both parties are not budging. The main issue is healthcare subsidies. Republicans do not want the Obamacare subsidies renewed, which will cause millions of Americans to lose healthcare. Democrats are refusing to allow this to happen. Despite the fact that Congress continues to get paid, House Republican Mike Johnson is refusing to even convene the House.

If they don't want to renew Obamacare subsidies they could just pass a law that gives all Americans the same health coverage they get for free.

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) is continuing to buck GOP congressional leadership, placing blame on top Republicans Thursday morning for failing to pull the government from its ongoing shutdown.

"I'm not putting the blame on the president," Greene (R-Ga.) said in an interview on CNN's "The Situation Room." "I'm actually putting the blame on the speaker and Leader [John] Thune in the Senate. This should not be happening."

Greene has continued to be a thorn in the side of Republican leadership in recent weeks, splitting from President Donald Trump and the GOP on a string of major topics " calling the war in Gaza a "genocide," campaigning for the release of files related to the Jeffrey Epstein case and pushing for an extension of enhanced Affordable Care Act subsidies.

"We control the House, we control the Senate, we have the White House," she said Thursday. "I've been vocal saying you can use the nuclear option in the Senate. This doesn't have to be a shutdown. But what we have to do is we have to work for the American people, and our country is so divided right now."

Speaker Mike Johnson recently brushed off Greene's health care push, telling reporters that "Congresswoman Greene does not serve on the committees of jurisdiction to deal with those specialized issues, and she's probably not read that in on some of that."

Democrats will eventually cave.

They always do.

Sacrificing the needs of the few for the needs of the many.

Quite to opposite of republicans who only care about the needs of their billionaire owners.
