Fleetwood Mac - Landslide (1975) www.youtube.com
Lyrics excerpt ...
genius.com
... Nicks wrote "Landslide" while in Aspen, Colorado, inspired, while looking at the mountains, by the thought that everything in her life she'd been building could come crashing down at any time. It became a tale of love and life artfully woven behind the metaphor of a snowy mountain avalanche. It was never originally released as a single ("Over My Head", "Rhiannon" & "Say You Love Me" were the album's three top 20 hits), but is considered one of the most known and cherished songs of the band's decades-long career. ... [Verse 1] I took my love, took it down I climbed a mountain and I turned around And I saw my reflection in the snow-covered hills 'Til the landslide brought me down [Verse 2] Oh, mirror in the sky What is love? Can the child within my heart rise above? Can I sail through the changin' ocean tides? Can I handle the seasons of my life? Hmm-hmm, hmm-hmm [Chorus] Well, I've been afraid of changin' 'Cause I've built my life around you But time makes you bolder Even children get older And I'm getting older too ...

I may actually like the Peterson's version best.
But I think that it's a bit interesting that Gen Z takes to this very reflective song written about her changes:
"Nicks told the New York Times, "I wrote Landslide' in 1973, when I was 27, and I did already feel old in a lot of ways. I'd been working as a waitress and a cleaning lady for years. I was tired."
"Nicks concluded, "Landslide' was the decision. When you see my reflection in the snow-covered hills,' it's the only time in my life that I've lived in the snow. But looking up at those Rocky Mountains and going, Okay, we can do it. I'm sure we can do it.'"
A sign of optimism from the Stare kids would be promising... not that they have much to be happy about. I remember that when I was their age, we had the assasinations of RFK, JFK, and MLK, then Nixon and Vietnam.
We weren't very optimistic, either. We just used other drugs than TicToc.

Yeah, I've read that Gen-Z seems to be taking an interest in the 70's music.
And, aside from the articles I have read, I have also noticed that as i disperse my record and CD collection among the Gen-Z in my family.

It's a whole genre on youtube; young reactors to 70's music.
Some are just faking it and mugging for the cameras and the income, but I actually enjoy seeing people doing what we did back then instead of being on phones... sitting around and listening to great music with friends or alone.
I saw a couple of kids today who actually live local to me doing the Simon and Garfield album Bookends... they were blown away.
Anyway, here's a montage channel of some of them:

Well, yeah, welcome to social media.
That aside ...
I'd proffer, based upon what I have seen, that the trend towards 70's music may go beyond those who want to exploit it for views and money.
There are those who genuinely seem to enjoy the original artists from the 70's.
In some respects, for those folk, it may be sad because, well, if you do the math... and artist in the 70's was maybe 25 years old? Now, if they are still alive, they are well into their 70's or possible 80's?
That's one of the reasons why I have been dispersing my old albums and CDs to my Gen-Z family members. I want them to know of and experience these great artists before they cannot.

... and, if I may be so bold to congratulate Gen-Z for recognizing this tune, well, I'll say, welcome to the 70's.
So much great music was published then.
Enjoy it.

Nice catch, Rogers!
This while their male counterparts are becoming Groypers, though.
