A new Democratic member, Rep.-elect Adelita Grijalva, will get the petition over the finish line Wednesday. Still, if the bill clears the House, it's unlikely to pass the GOP-controlled Senate.

Jeffries: "It's unbelievable that for 7 plus weeks Rep.-elect Adelita Grijalva has been denied the ability to serve more than 800,000 people in Arizona because Republicans are running a pedophile protection program."

Color me surprised if the Trump files are released.

Color me surprised that once the files are released, they're not going to be hard evidence of anything.

What was released today isn't hard evidence of anything.

It still managed to damn Donald Trump.

Bipartisan duo expected 2 force vote 2 release Epstein files

Won't make a bit of difference.

Trump is openly taking bribes for pardons and the GOP is turning a blind eye. He could go for a repeat performance of his Epstein trips on the White House lawn in open view and the GOPhers would pull a muscle yawning.

Keep your eyes on Barkeep Barbie, the itinerant Congress Gal, who moves from one district to another, humming all the way. The news reports she is being 'met with' by WH folks, who will try to melt her resolve to put forth the discharge petition.

I'll wager she caves, in return for a ride on Air Force One to Denver--whenever that happens...

FFS do people not understand how the government works?

This is all simply --------

The House votes on a bil

Long shot to even pass

if it does it goes to senate

Long shot to be even voted on

if it is even voted on it will not pass

Even if it passes it goes to ------- for signature

So, when he vetoes it, 2/3 of each house needed to overturn veto

Is that process ever even hinted at in the endless stories bout this?

------- useless media.

The government, at this moment, does not work at all.

TRUTHHURTS

In your scenario, how does that apply to the House Oversight Committee's subpoena for unredacted documents directly from the Epstein Estate . . . which the House is gradually receiving, reviewing and disclosing any mention about Trump to the public?

Trump's usual response is "Hoax" like he thinks that settles everything.

JD Vance's 2021 tweet about the Epstein files comes back to haunt him: 'Aged like milk'
www.independent.co.uk

... An old tweet from J.D. Vance about the Epstein scandal has gone viral after new emails, which claimed that Donald Trump "knew about the girls," were released by the House Oversight Committee.

Now, social media users have said that the vice president's comment from December 30, 2021, has "aged like milk," as it comes back to haunt him.

"What possible interest would the US government have in keeping Epstein's clients secret? Oh ... " Vance tweeted.

The now-vice president did not give a reason for the U.S. Government, the Biden administration, at the time of tweeting, allegedly "keeping the Epstein clients secret."

However, he doubled down on his position with another tweet, which urged journalists to investigate the Epstein case.

"If you're a journalist and you're not asking questions about this case you should be ashamed of yourself," he raged. "What purpose do you even serve? I'm sure there's a middle-class teenager somewhere who could use some harassing right now, but maybe try to do your job once in a while." ...

@#6 ...; The House votes on a bil

Long shot to even pass ...

I'm not yet convince of the "long shot to pass" aspect.

My current view is that it may be more of a squeaker to get passed, with an outlier view that there may be a larger majority passing it.

... if it does it goes to senate

Long shot to be even voted on ...

I'm not yet convince of the "long shot to even be voted on" aspect.

My current view is that it may be more of a squeaker to get voted upon, with an outlier view that there it may even pass.

Then will Pres Trump sign it?

I agree there. Snowball's chance in hell.

Then there is SC Rep Mace who, from what I have heard, was also subject to a Situation Room ~discussion~ with AG Bondi, Dep AG Blanche and FBI Dir Patel to back down.

She kept her name on the discharge petition, but now says ...

Jeffrey Epstein's Brother, Mark, Responds to New Trump Emails
www.newsweek.com

... Representative Nancy Mace, a South Carolina Republican, wrote to X: "How pathetic that Democrats are using Epstein's victims to bury headlines on their vote against reopening the government." ...

Which also seems to be the White House standard answer to many questions.

More Republican and Democratic lawmakers are now calling for the full release of the so-called Epstein files.

www.bbc.com

...
Here's what's been going on:

- - - More than 20,000 files from the late paedophile financier's estate were released yesterday by US lawmakers. Several mention Trump

- - - Trump has called them a "hoax" in a post on social media

- - - Epstein said about Trump in 2018: "I am the one able to take him down" and "I know how dirty donald is" ...
