One of Trump's biggest initiatives, establishment of the Department of Government Efficiency, has has ended in a spectacular failure with the Office of Personnel Management Director Scott Kupor confirming that DOGE no longer exists. DOGE failed to deliver the cuts to government spending that Trump and Elon Musk promised. Governmental rules regarding hiring that were established by the department no longer exist. DOGE employees have been moved around to other departments with some high profile employees now working on non-essential tasks like trying to "beautify" government websites and promoting the scammy TrumpRx.

"That doesn't exist," Office of Personnel Management Director Scott Kupor told Reuters earlier this month when asked about DOGE's status. ...

While I may agree that DOGE, the entity that Pres Trump put into place to destroy our government, may no longer exist.

I also ask, how many people that DOGE put into place within our Government still hold their positions?

Inside the DOGE Succession Drama Elon Musk Left Behind
www.politico.com

... Over the subsequent days and weeks, rival factions would compete for control of what Musk had built. Some sought to burrow deep inside the federal government and continue business as usual; others wanted to collaborate openly with the parts of government they previously eschewed. One of Musk's chief lieutenants would openly defy White House orders to step down. At the same time, Musk was angling to lure remaining staffers to jobs at one of his private companies.

At a gathering in June, Donald Park, a senior DOGE figure, tried to reassure his colleagues that they were still "brothers in arms" and that Musk would continue to protect them.

This account of the DOGE supernova, which left behind nebulous remnants throughout the government, is based on contemporaneous notes, photographs, correspondence and screenshots of Signal chats provided by participants in them.

We interviewed nine former and current DOGE employees, along with four other administration and White House officials, many of whom were granted anonymity to candidly discuss internal deliberations without fear of retribution. ...

...
This sleeper hit by The Verve Pipe was recorded in 1992 acoustically, then re-released as a hit single in 1996. It is considered by many to be the band's trademark song. ...

[Verse 1]
When I was young, I knew everything
And she, a punk who rarely ever took advice
Now I'm guilt-stricken, sobbin' with my head on the floor
Stop a baby's breath and a shoe full of rice, no

[Pre-Chorus]
Can't be held responsible
'Cause she was touching her face
I won't be held responsible
She fell in love in the first place

[Chorus]
For the life of me, I cannot remember
What made us think that we were wise and we'd never compromise
For the life of me, I cannot believe
We'd ever die for these sins, we were merely freshmen

DOGE was never more than Trump expressing that he could burn down and pis on anything he wanted.

It was never intended to cut costs, or get rid of waste.

It was always intended as an extension of Donald's ego. When it ceased to magnify him he terminated it.

DOGE was ever nothing more than a Comanche raid. It burned down some farmhouses and slaughtered some settlers.

It confirmed Elon and Donald as low barbarians. But supremely powerful barbarians, and that was the entire point.
