Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-Colo.) is accusing President Donald Trump of blocking a non-controversial water project affecting her district after the lawmaker challenged Trump to force the release of the Epstein files in November. " ... Trump decided to veto ... a bipartisan bill that passed both the House and Senate unanimously. Why? Because nothing says America First' like denying clean drinking water to 50,000 people in Southeast Colorado, many of whom enthusiastically voted for him in all three elections," Boebert said, according to Colorado news reporter Kyle Clark. " ... I sincerely hope this veto has nothing to do with political retaliation for calling out corruption and demanding accountability. Americans deserve leadership that puts people over politics." "I thought the [Trump] campaign was about lowering costs and cutting red tape," Boebert added.

Uh oh. Will history record Boebert as being the brave soul that broke the MAGA dam?

... Americans deserve leadership that puts people over politics ...

I agree.

Unfortunately, Pres Trump seems to be of a different opinion: Putting himself over Americans.

Benito Mussolini's secret services were the most effective spy/police agencies of his era, far superior to his military, and the Nazis modelled their security organs after Italy's OVRA.

When the head of Italy's secret service passed, Gestapo leadership flew to Rome for his funeral.

During the Second World War, Field Marshal Erwin Rommel relied on Italian intelligence to fight the Allies in North Africa.

So effective was the OVRA, Il Duce's spies robustly penetrated the Vatican.

With World War Two raging all around his head, every day Il Duce looked forward to hearing about the salacious conduct between the clergymen in the occult bowels of the Vatican.

"Il Duce, I have important news! The Allies have landed at Anzio!"

"But did Cardinal Sarducci ever get to sleep with Father Vito?"

She must be annoyed. This would have been the second of her 148 proposed bills to actually pass. Her 0.67% success rate holds.

4. Robustly penetrating, huh?

I worked on a book a long time ago from a Jesuit who said that pre-Vatican II Jesuit seminaries were essentially gay bathhouses.

Author said one should answer "No" when the late-night knock came upon the door asking if the occupant desired a massage.

Yeah, he showed her by screwing over her district that went for him.
A master politician at work.

@6 This is why the Epstein files made some Republicans vote for their release: They are a pedophilic Peyton Place.

I heard a similar story about the late night "knock on the door" years ago at these missions or convents, but I don't recall it being Jesuit-specific.

I'm glad some people found the thrust of my epistle penetrating.

All of the election results by CDs and wards are fully known to both parties, down to the last vote.

And economic data is available to the White House too (federal taxes paid, federal employees, etc).

Before punishing Colorado, Dummkopf Trumpf and/or his Chief of Staff should have checked for who specifically his vengeance would hurt. Or maybe Trumpf did check but simply didn't care that his own supporters would be harmed.

Collective punishment for Lauren Boebert's vote to release the Epstein files.
