Rex Huppke: Dear ICE agents, you should feel wildly proud of yourselves and definitely rest easy knowing that karma doesn't exist and a president who only looks out for himself will ABSOLUTELY have your backs.

I completely agree with ... {checks notes, checks them a second time, and then blinks several times} ... Joe Rogan?

... But let's not focus on the negatives! You've all been doing a great job looking super tough in your war clothes, yelling threats at civilians, and making America proud by descending on Target stores with large guns and overwhelming force to snatch up employees for no clear reason.

And now, after a second Minneapolis shooting involving a federal agent on Jan. 14, President Donald Trump might reward you by invoking the Insurrection Act and sending the military in to help you with your efforts to calm a city that was just minding its own business before you came along and invaded it. ...

*** Bruce Springsteen Performs Tribute To Renee Good: "Gestapo ICE Should Get The F Out Of Minneapolis" ***

"In an unbilled performance Saturday night at the Light of Day festival in New Jersey, Bruce Springsteen took solemn time out during an otherwise celebratory 75-minute set to dedicate "The Promised Land" to the memory of slain Minneapolis woman Renee Good, decrying the "Gestapo tactics" that he said have resulted in a climate where citizens can be "murdered for exercising your American right to protest."

Reciting a list of what he considers core American values, Springsteen then said that anyone who believes in them should "send a message to this president. And as the mayor of that city has said, ICE should get the ---- out of Minneapolis. So this one is for you, and the memory of the mother of three and American citizen Renee Good."

The Gestapo had immunity while their leaders were in power too. Afterwards they were tried and they were hanged.

Hi Clownshack:

In A Tale of Two Cities (Charles Dickens) we read Madame Defarge is constantly knitting something into a large embroidery.

We learn that she has been assiduously recording the vile crimes and abuses of the Ancien Regime into her tapestry.

Like Madame Defarge, we must all do our part in recording the crimes and abuses committed by the nefarious Trumpf junta and their vicious Sturmabteilung.

The next non-Republican POTUS candidate in 2028 might consider selecting a retired US military general as his/her VPOTUS running mate whose sole mission will be organizing a Suid-Afrika-style Truth and Reconciliation Commission to expose all of the crimes from 2025 to 2029 and fire all the perpetrators.

Sadly, this next administration will have a ton of work to do with less money in the coffers to work with because of all the wealth siphoned off by the oligarchs these past several years. Raising taxes on working Americans in 2029 to fix all this would be a travesty.
