The House of Representatives failed to pass the War Powers bill because four Democrats voted AGAINST the resolution that would have forced Donald Trump to seek congressional approval to continue waging the US and Israel's war against the people of Iran.

Congress failed to pass the War Powers Resolution, leaving the door open for a prolonged war with Iran. Now Washington is already floating billions more in military spending. Democratic leadership needs to decide: are you funding this war, or will you oppose it at every turn?

House Democrats Josh Gottheimer (NJ) and Jared Moskowitz (FL) called this bill the "Ayatollah Protection Act."

To cover their tracks, four less conspicuous Democrats were given the official task of scuppering the bill:

Henry Cuellar (TX), Jared Golden (ME), Greg Landsman (OH), and Juan Vargas (CA).

The resolution failed 219-212.

To no one's surprise, all four of these House Democrats are recipients of heavy AIPAC funding:

I do not agree with their votes.

But, I do have to ask, why did they cast those votes?

Is there an election they may soon be facing?

I am not trying to justify the votes they have cast, votes I disagree with.

But this is politics (not political, but politics).

And the upcoming election is emerging as an important one.

So, are the politicians now starting to put their stake in the ground?

why did they cast those votes?

1) they're owned by Israel

2) they were assessed by the DNC to be in safe districts.

3) at this time when Americans, especially democrats, are growing tired of our country being ruled by President Netanyahu, democrats couldn't show full support for Israel. So they had just enough democratic representatives vote to pass the bill without letting Americans see how much Israel controls both parties.

Throughout the month of October, 2024, the Trump campaign (and associated entities) spent $300,000,000.00 on ads in all 7 swing states during televised NFL and NCAA football games. The topic of all of those ads? Then-CA Attorney General Kamala Harris' 2019 response to a question about a Trump administration dictate on gender-affirming (read: trans) care for federal inmates.

And the amount of money the Harris campaign spent countering those ads in the swing states during NFL and NCAA football games? You know, to point out the truth that she was simply responding to a question about a Trump administration dictate on gender-affirming for federal inmates? To counter the deceptive, the lying-by-omission ads run by Trump & company?

Zero dollars

The efficacy of this strategy was born out election night, 2024, when Steve Kornacki was calling individual counties (starting with Pennsylvania) and highlighting that the Harris/Walz ticket was falling short of votes as opposed to the votes in the 2020 election for the Biden/Harris ticket. His reporting was, in effect, a death by 1,000 cuts for Harris/Walz.

Trump & company knew that all it would take would be the suppression of Biden votes in 2024 by just a point or two for Trump to carry those counties, all 7 swing states and, ultimately, the election. They judged, correctly, that men - men of color and white - would be turned off enough by the "pro-trans" Harris that they voted for Trump, or didn't vote at all.

Either way, mission accomplished.

Screw you. What happened in 2024 is NOT that Kamala didn't throw trans people under the bus. Trans rights are human rights, and your suggestion that they should be sacrificed is disgusting. Gender affirming care is a human right, throwing women into men's prisons and pretending that they're men just because they were assigned male at birth is disgusting.

What happened in 2024 is that Kamala threw Palestinians under the bus during a genocide. That was a MASSIVE mistake, it meant that millions of people felt like they couldn't vote for either candidate and stayed home. What the Biden admin did to Palestinians is inexcusable.

And yes, the tiny-fingered, ferret-wearing, cheeto-faced s--tgibbon regime is worse. But the loud and clear message that fools like you didn't get is that NOBODY is owed votes, and appeasing evil people is NOT going to win elections.
