Drudge Retort: The Other Side of the News
Sunday, March 29, 2026

In a remarkable 24 hours in Washington, House Republicans snubbed a bipartisan funding deal cut by their own Senate GOP counterparts and instead approved an entirely different plan -- prolonging the Department of Homeland Security shutdown.

The Senate voted last night to reopen DHS. The bill doesn't include funding for ICE and CBP, but they're already funded by OBBBA. House Dems support the Senate bill. House GOP leadership says no. But Trump could flip them with one phone call!

Pres Trump signed a order that TSA agents should be paid.

If he can actually do such a thing, I have to ask, what took him so long to do so?

Because this isn't about funding security. It's about wanting something to blame Dems for. House Republicans sure messed that up now that they are the only thing standing in the way of funding.

That's because the gop senators were:

They don't care if TSA gets paid. They want the workers to quit so they can privatize it and hand out a fat contract to their friends and pay the workers minimum wage with no benefits. That has been the goal all along in Project 2025. Tying the vote to the scam voting act is just gravy.

If the GOP was serious about the issue they would not be on two week vacation right now

House Repubs are traitorous scum.

Well yes for many many more reasons than this.

It all boils down to -------- plan for November to rig the elections. That is why he is sooooo desperate to pass his scam voting bill. Blah blah blah yeah voter id whatever. There is only .00000003% voting fraud in the last 100 years.

The real goal of the scam act is to for DHS to get it's hands on the voter rolls and have the ability to PURGE voters at will knowing that people do not check their voter registration and that they will fill out provisional ballots without remedying their voter registration within the required time rendering their provisional ballot moot.

The Constitution makes it clear the power to run elections is with the states, but I am not putting the issue in the hands of the corrupt SCOTUS.

Big money owns Trump, and Trump owns the House of Representatives...so the midterms are once again spotlighted as being of great importance to our Constitutional Republic.
