The Republican National Committee (RNC) is suing to strip voting access from a group of US citizens living abroad. This specific complaint targets a longstanding Virginia law that allows Americans living overseas to vote using a parent's last address in the state-- even if they themselves have never lived there.

"This is the nefarious Republican Party's latest move in its growing campaign against overseas voters. The case mirrors " and expands on " similar Republican efforts in Michigan, Arizona, and other states signaling a coordinated push to eliminate voting rights for certain overseas US citizens ahead of the 2026 midterms."

"Among the approximately 8.7 million US citizens living abroad, a significant portion tends to vote Democratic or liberal."

Of course if it hurts Democrats MAGAts are all for it.

The same MAGAts would be screaming bloody murder at any one of the things Trump has done.

They're hypocrites extraordinaire!

Is the GOP denying the right of military members abroad to vote?

#3 Of course they are.

They see the writing on the wall that the soldiers don't want to die in an Iranian no win war.

So of course they're going to deny them the right they are willing to die to protect.

Because republic*nts are the biggest ------- cowards on the planet.

If they had their way, they'd blanket strip voting away from minorities, women and poor people.

Virginia law that allows Americans living overseas to vote using a parent's last address in the state-- even if they themselves have never lived there. REALLY?

#5 Really.

Alternatively....

Move to Virginia.

Live there long enough to be able to register to vote.

Vote in upcoming elections after you're eligible to vote.

If you're lucky, your vote (and those of other Virginians) will be enough to change the law in Virginia.

Then you can proudly proclaim, "Not really anymore"

You're welcome.

Screw the GOP, there will be 3-4 Million Chinese in China that can vote in 20 years.

We won't even need to fire a shot to get Taiwan back.

Agreed, with Democrats like Biden, Swalwell and Pelosi there's not way America can win.

Like I said in 20 years there will be 3-4Million Chinese citizens voting in American elections.

Growing up in Virginia, I can tell you Virginians are quite proud of the fact that Virginia is the birthplace of seven Presidents.
But the days of slavery and tobacco are long in the past.
Virginia's something of a swing state in recent history.
If either party saw a problem here, they'd address it.

Why hasn't that happened?
Because this isn't a problem.

You can't make this up, on the next thread you'll be complaining about the racist, slave owning, rapist Presidents that came from Virginia.

I've never complained about that.
Thomas Jefferson was never President.
Nor is my historical depiction of Thomas Jefferson a complaint.

Please refer these unfortunate misunderstandings to your handlers for immediate corrective action and appropriate public apology.
