@#5
I do not see the reason why this event was cancelled by whoever.
Can anyone explain that reason?
thx.

Given that it was a private event, I have no idea.

On public property?
What if they said no homosexuals? Or Blacks, Whites?
Or Canadians?
Publicly owned spaces should be open to all.

Yeah, that was my concern [question?] also.
Can a private group reserve a public space in Grand Prairie, TX for their own purpose?
That seems to be the unanswered question here.
What are the laws of that particular area?

If this group paid or arranged to pay the rental fee I'm not sure what reason why it would be cancelled by the state.

#14. The reporting is ambiguous. State law prohibits religious discrimination, which is Why this group belatedly made it "open" just so long as any non Muslim attendees adhered to "their"" dress code.

Our local YMCA has set aside time each week so local Muslim women can use the pool. Funny how the guys can go and ogle the white girls but the women must remain pure and demure.

Couple of points:
Could you clarify the "white girls" remark? It sounds a lot more ignorant than you may have intended.
Also, you're aware that hypocrisy is not exactly a rare characteristic in human behavior, right?

Shouldn't you be getting runned over by a tank in the world's largest public square?

It's cultural. In Islam women cover their bodies because they view their bodies as belonging to their husbands and only their husbands are allowed to see their bare flesh.

The thing that always makes me chuckle a little is when I see a woman wearing a hijab but has beautifully done up hair and makeup, painted on jeans and a low cut shirt.
Talk about mailing it in.
