The US Army Criminal Investigation Division (CID) is investigating a shooting at the Belton Lake Outdoor Recreation Area (BLORA) near Fort Hood, Texas which left one person dead and another wounded.

On 23 May at approximately 2100 HRS, two Fort Hood military police (MP) officers responded to a report of brawling at the BLORA. When the two MPs attempted to break up the donnybrook, multiple shots were fired and two victims were struck, killing one and wounding another.

It was civilians shooting at each other. Civilians can just roll into Belton's park areas with guns. It's not like their metal detectors.
