For nearly two months, the Trump administration has insisted that Iran is on the verge of collapsing. The story coming out of the White House has remained remarkably consistent. Tehran supposedly wants a deal. Iranian leaders are allegedly making concessions. Diplomacy is progressing. A breakthrough is just around the corner. And yet every time administration officials make those claims, Iranian officials respond with the diplomatic equivalent of a public eye roll.

This cycle has repeated itself over and over again " the administration signals progress, Iran publicly rejects the characterization, Trump threatens additional military action, then the process starts all over again a few days later. The pattern matters raises a question that has become increasingly difficult to ignore: If Iran is losing, why is it acting like its the one who gets to dictate the course of the conflict?

But not Trump & MAGA and the GOP. Also posted by the clown.

"For nearly two months, the Trump administration has insisted that Iran is on the verge of collapsing."
They're simply hoping Iran collapses before the United States does.
I don't really see that happening. The Iranian people used to hate the Ayatollahs, and still do. But in the past few months, all the lies the Ayatollahs told about the Untied States and Israel have come true, because of Trump and Netanyahu.
If one were to imagine The West is playing a long game, including the 1953 Iranian coup and installation of a Western Puppet Government, well, that would be the kind of thing that lends ironclad credence to the ideas being the Islamic Revolution.
Trump and Netanyahu are strengthening not just the Ayatollahs, but strongmen all over the world. And this, is of course, their goal. I wonder if history will call it Neo-Colonialism.

I'm curious how the completely destroyed/decimated/obliterated Iran managed to shoot all those missiles at Israel today?

Quit going after the leadership. Go after their families. After some have no heirs left to continue the bloodline, the others might reconsider their positions. We have to use the same Islamic tactics as the enemy. Kidnap and hold them hostage if possible. If you want to go really Islamic, take one of the hostages and behead them on video.

Do you really think going after families makes the world a better place? Or are you just ------------?

If you really want to go "Islamic" (and it sounds like you want to be more like them) you should just go join them.
Unless you are a coward, of course, and you don't really mean what you say.

RF4B sounds like a frustrated Carter-era navvy guy that probably wanted to nuke Tehran in the '80s.

Close. United States Marine Corps, 3rd MAW, MAG-11, VMFP-3. No nukes, just wanted to nip the Islamofascist dictatorship in the bud.

You voted for the guy who sold arms to the Ayatollah, right?
You voted for the guy who Cut N Run after the Marine Barracks bombing in Lebanon, right?
Bless your heart!

When asked if Netanyahu defied him by firing at Iran on Sunday, Trump said the missiles were "already on their way" when he spoke with the Israeli prime minister. He added, "if I tell him to do something, he does it."
LOL.

Iran is negotiating from strength due to it's geographic location and the world's dependency on goods shipped through Hormuz.
Every president before stinky listened to the experts who said, you can't win because they will shut down the straight and wreak havoc on the world.
But he is a sociopathic narcissist who thinks he knows better than everyone else with a penchant for being a bumbling dolt and ------- up everything he touches stayed true to form and ------ everything up.
He is a dullard who thinks he is a genius and the world is paying the price for his staggering never ending stupidity.

In 1977 my Dad was part of a working group that analyzed and reinterpreted ASVAB scores. I think he mentioned that the test was found to overvalue the mental acuity of some (the idiots) and underestimate the acuity of others (the gifted), and so he was charged to help fix it. R5D4's probably one of the former who got in before the corrections were made.

I remembering scoring decently on the ASVAB when I enlisted last century in the "all volunteer army."
The top scorers had more MOS available to them, like aviation mechanic, parachute rigger, or military intelligence analyst, but not cooks from what I remember.
And military cooks should be in the top tier when you think about it.

Does the military even cook their own food any more?
I do not believe it does. They are entirely reliant on commercial suppliers and private contractors to procure, package, and even serve meals.
The military used to be entirely self sufficient. We did not need no stinking contractors. We peeled our own potatoes and washed our own pans. Not any more. But that's dating me.
Semper Fi.
