U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement has been ordered to temporarily stop conducting vehicle stops in the wake of two deadly shootings in Texas and Maine, sources told ABC News. Homeland Security Secretary Markwayne Mullin gave the directive, a law enforcement source told ABC News, after he spoke with Sen. Susan Collins, R-Maine, who said she urged Mullin to "cease all non-urgent vehicle stops."

"ICE law enforcement attempted to conduct a vehicle stop. The vehicle attempted to flee the scene and, fearing for public safety, an officer discharged his weapon. The driver of the vehicle was struck, and emergency services were immediately contacted. He passed away from his injuries.

The office of the Maine US senator Angus King said the DHS informed him Guerrero was not the subject of the warrant mentioned in the department's statement."

So, wait... this may not have been the guy they were after AND they are not even saying he was using his vehicle as a weapon this time... but that he was murdered because of, 'public safety"??
