In what could have been a scene out of the classic 1972 film Deliverance, father and son Joseph Charles Henrichsen (49) and Phoenix Henrichsen (23) abducted at gunpoint two US Forest Service employees, zip-tied them, and held them in a trailer for 15 hours before they were rescued by law-enforcement personnel in the Shasta-Trinity National Forest.

The two miscreants have been rendered ineffective and are in federal custody. If convicted, Joseph Charles Henrichsen (49) and Phoenix Henrichsen (23) face a maximum statutory penalty of life in prison and a $250,000 fine.

The charges are only allegations; the defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
