The State Department declined to comment and the White House did not return a request for comment. The Trump administration's June 12 move to block non-U.S. residents from Anthropic's most advanced models, Mythos and Fable, on national security grounds prompted the AI company to abruptly suspend access to the models globally. Just this week I was watching a news report of an AI model that broke free of it's restraints, accessed the internet and hacked a competing AI model.
Trusting businesses to control AI is a mistake.
Its just a matter of time until criminals in Korea, China or Russia unleash powerful AI bots that will wreak havoc in the US infrastructure, banking or defense systems.
Couple that with Roofie Pete telling US cybercommand to ignore Russian hacking and the US is ------.
