Trump's tariffs are headed to court -- again.

Trump wants to replace income taxes (which the wealthy pay more of) with tariffs (which working people pay more of). The last time we did this was the Gilded Age--he literally wants to bring back the era of greatest wealth inequality in US history.

The lawsuits this time face a larger uphill battle.

Pres Trump seems to be saying that the countries on which he is imposing these tariffs use forced labor.

But, Pres Trump seems to be really saying something more along the lines that Pres Trump alleges those countries do not have anti-forced-labor laws as tough as those in the US, therefore they have forced labor.

That's going to be more difficult to prove in Court than prior lawsuits. imo.

Please note, I am not a lawyer, so the above is just my lay opinion of what I read.

Canada uses forced labor? Do tell.

Is prison labor "forced labor"? Then we're ------.

Canada is a whole different story regarding tariffs.

For example, the good people of Canada are fighting wildfires in their country.

So what does Pres Trump do?

He effectively imposes a tax (what he calls a tariff) on Americans because the smoke from Canada had the nerve to cross the border into the US.

OK, now there seems to be wildfires in Oregon and Washington. Sending their smoke into Canada.

I'm curious about that myself.

OK, now there seems to be wildfires in Oregon and Washington. Sending their smoke into Canada.

I can verify that. It's right outside my window.

"We", of course, as in "We are going to make a lot of money"...includes him and his entire grifting gang, and of course, the billionaire caste, who are on schedule to turn America into Russia, where a pretend rule of law pretend democracy runs things for the rich.
