These "ethics probes" usually appear to go nowhere. The problem often seems to lie with the investigators, the old the foxes guarding the hen house problem. In order to get into Congress many of these folks are already so compromised that they are utterly incapable of carrying out that task in a legitimate fashion. It's like asking a mob of used car salesmen to police the used car industry.
