That's about twice as long as I'd ever want to be stuck in a metal tube flying at 30,000 ft.

And how are they going to limit the liquor service on a 24-hr flight?
Not too hard to imagine a vacation flight full of Australians getting a bit too spirited for a flight crew.

24 hours?

I've already had my quota of 18-20 hour flights ...

Would be seriously trying for those of us "in the back" as my globe trotting corporate emissary bro used to call us.... but those pod-like posh bed booths "up front" do seem pretty sweet... only seen by me in movies and vids of course....

and yes a loud drunk is insufferable even on a short puddle jumper ride....

A pal of mine just flew from NYC to Ireland. He's still pulling in a great salary in his mid-70s, so he decided this once, he'd splurge, and get the $4,000 sleeper. One-way was all he could afford.

He adored it, of course, and pronounced if he was rich, that's the only way he'd travel.

On the way back, he connected through Heathrow, and inquired about any possible upgrade: You're in luck! the gal told him. Since England lost in the semi-finals, we've got LOTS of first-class to New York suddenly available!

They charged him $500 for the upgrade. Woo Hoo!
