These are designed to fight fires using high-pressure water streams to cool and extinguish them. Thanks for posting. A fascinating tool (approaching $250k a pop - www.magirusgroup.com - which could greatly reduce some of the dangers encountered by firefighters. Basically, eyes on wheels - an old bomb disposal approach greatly expanded/enhanced by technology.

Our firefighter son took one look at info on the robotic beast and said, "I'll take five!"
The bomb disposal reference I made above was to the Wheelbarrow robot that saw extensive use in Northern Ireland - en.wikipedia.org(robot) - eyes and tools on wheels. Its use doesn't remove the human element, but it does mitigate against their injury or destruction.
