They're being sent to camps indefinitely. It costs about a hundred times more than simply being deported. You support the indefinite detentions, because the cruelty is the point.

Right, this is to protect crime victims who are immigrants from themselves becoming the victim of police with a racial agenda.

Immigration is not a local police issue. There is no legitimate law enforcement reason local police would be asking about immigration status.

Before these laws, police could e.g. coerce a crime victim who is undocumented to provide sexual favors, or be turned over to Customs and Border Patrol.

Naturally, you support police being able to coerce civilians.

Please tell me about the "faith" component active in atheism.

My belief, or lack thereof, in any sort of entity that literally rules over us cosmically, is not rooted in any sort of faith.
It's from observation of my surroundings.

Now, you could argue that trusting my senses and my intellect is an act of faith. I put my faith in my senses, as it were.
But that reduces any conscious decision to an act of faith.
Pressing "submit" after writing this comment and believing it will show up on the DR would be an act of faith, if you look at it that way.

Faith is much more than believing "Water is Wet, and it will be wet the next time I touch it too."
