-What everyone should care about is that walmart door greets appear to be more thoroughly vetted than the people being hired to work in the Oval Office.

Even the republicans are laughing at this.

Perhaps this is a clue as to how seriously the Trump administration is going to take press briefings for the rest of this administration.

very FF

Can we assume she's been telling this lie for a long time?

"Ride her till she bucks you" - Roy McAvoy

She was completely unqualified for that job with or without the law license.

We all know licensed attorneys who couldn't come within a thousand miles of doing this job.

It's not requirement anyway.

-What are you considering normal?

This list includes many normal things.

I agree but the larger argument has always been about certain weapons and the politics of the NRA and that wasn't in play here.

-You're acting like everything we're living through during these past two years of the Trump administration is "business as usual"

I'll agree that I see more of it as "business as usual" but it's far from "everything".

-I simply say you're normalizing Trump. But nothing this administration has done is normal.

some things ARE normal. But you live in absolutes like most people who are pissed off like you always are......so there is no point is arguing that.

Easily avoidable tragedies are abosolutely hilarious

When I saw this comment yesterday, I assumed Twoothy knew what weapon the shooter used.

A weapon nobody is trying to ban used to shoot through security.

how is that so easily avoidable?

I'm sure it's hilarious to Twoothy so I don't need an explanation for that.

But easily avoidable?

a democrat running for the senate is promising to raise taxes on the other guy and cut defense spending?

blows up my skirt.........LOL

If I were in Texas, I'd vote for Talarico but not because of the oldest and expected promises made by all democrats when running for office.

not so fast.....

"The Education Department has acknowledged internally that separating FSA into an independent agency would require an act of Congress, though the department officials and congressional staff said it has yet to engage Capitol Hill. It has also yet to discuss the matter with the Treasury Department, despite its critical role in paying out the loans."

explain that comment from JPW you referenced. I honestly don't understand what it means.

Is he upset other liberals aren't as pissed off as him?

minimum wage in 1970 was $1.60

that equates to around $3,300 a year working full time.

$121 an hour today is around $250K a year

$250K today = $3,300 1970?

Granted....56 years of inflation....but.....seriously?

-For minimum wage to have the same purchasing power as 1970 it would need to be $121 per hour.

Okay ... .ill bite.

What?

absurd but real....and the school as well. they could face litigation.

-There was an analysis done a number of years back that showed that all Americans pay approximately 22% taxes when income, payroll, sales, gas, property and other taxes are taken into account.

wouldn't that be nice. Not being in the 1% but earning a decent income....I pay significantly more than that.

But I'm just a worker with earned income

-They said the shooter forced their way in by shooting at locked doors but did not specify how far the suspect made it inside.

so the suspect shot their way into the school. I was wondering how they got in.

16 year old.....good grief.

and asking me how many times I voted for GWB wasn't a serious question.

Not even close. go back and read the thread. It wasn't remotely a serious question.

I could have just ignored it but I chose to slap you.

my response to you was ask a serious question or STFU.

did you think that was a serious question?

-you accused me of blowing married men.

cornered? LOL

I can't remember the name of that ------- from Florida who admitted to screwing married men and proud of it.

you all remember......I just can't remember his name.

I voted for GWB in 2000. That's the last vote for president I gave to a republican.

now with that said..........so what?

how does that change anything whatsoever in that discussion?

Do you have any memory of what that was about?

-Been here long enough to know engaging with you is mostly for some light entertainment and not much else.

LOL

"So you didn't vote for W? Twice?
That's --------. If you hadn't you wouldn't have had a tantrum."

so I did vote for him twice and that's why slapped you?

so.....you do suck a lot of ---- and that's why you're crying about it 3 days later?

Interesting....Alex believes he's entitled to accuse me of who I voted for....get it wrong...and when I respond........he wants to cry about it for 3 days.

-I just pointed out that you voted for W twice, undercutting your stupid gotcha.

You got it wrong and it was my facts you were trying to undercut.

do you want my answer
I don't see there being any value to it.
You showed up to make excuses for Trump.

It's someone else's fault.

right there....."I don't see there being any value to it"

followed by ....

" are there any you're willing to take a position on?"

make up your mind

-are there any you're willing to take a position on?

just about an hour ago you assigned a position to me when I was willing to state my position.

now you're interested in my position?

seriously...like an hour ago you told me you weren't interested in my position.
