"We will have that answer for you," RFK Jr told Dotard Trumpf. He did not elaborate on what the "interventions" were, or how HHS will address them. The nephew of JFK first pledged in April to find the "environmental toxin" that he says must be behind rising autism rates by Sep 2025. Scientists dispute the reasons autism rates have rapidly increased in the last few decades, but most believe a combination of factors including better diagnostic criteria, genetics, and environmental pollution is likely at play. Experts have also doubted whether Kennedy's self-imposed September deadline was realistic. As of July 1, the Foodborne Diseases Active Surveillance Network (FoodNet) program has reduced surveillance to just two pathogens: salmonella and Shiga toxin-producing E. coli (STEC), a spokesperson for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention told NBC News. Before July, the program had been tracking infections caused by six additional pathogens: campylobacter, cyclospora, listeria, shigella, vibrio and Yersinia. President Donald Trump on Monday night escalated his conflict with Federal Reserve Governor Lisa Cook by removing her from the Fed's board. The move comes after Trump urged the governor to resign her post last week over allegations that she may have committed mortgage fraud before she took her place on the Federal Reserve Board. Cook declined Trump's call to resign. Federal Housing Finance Agency Director William Pulte notified Attorney General Pam Bondi earlier this month that Cook allegedly "falsified bank documents and property records to acquire more favorable loan terms, potentially committing mortgage fraud."
