Although the United States has been the world's preeminent military power for decades, it apparently cannot fight a regional power such as Iran for more than a few months before experiencing an armaments crisis. Since hostilities with Tehran began on February 28, the U.S. has reportedly used up two-thirds of its Patriot missile interceptors, more than a third of its Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) interceptors, and a third or more of its prewar stock of Tomahawk cruise missiles. The rate of consumption is all the more striking because a shaky cease-fire had halted most fighting for months. Based on recent production patterns, replenishing the supply of weaponry will take several years. Read more

SpaceX and the Red State of Louisiana are close to finalizing a deal for the launch company to acquire about 130,000 acres along the northern coast of the Gulf of Mexico, an 18-mile stretch of marshland southwest of Lafayette.

  • The Dept of Education, led by good-for-nothing oligarchess Linda McMahon who is being sued for her alleged role in the notorious "Ring Boys" sexual abuse scandal, wrote this letter to colleges and universities requesting them to hire more MAGA teaching staff, address grade inflation, improve transparency about the costs of attending their schools, and curb foreign donations (unless they're from Israel, of course).
  • The drunkard-led DOD is proposing abolishing civilian tenure at the US Military Academies to root out DEI and progressive faculty. Under-qualified Secretary of War Crimes Pete Kegsbreath already cut DOD ties with most Ivy League universities, barring senior DOD leadership from receiving a quality post-graduate education.

Twenty five US states sued the administration of US President Donald Trump on Monday over new tariffs of 10% to 12.5% on goods from 60 trading partners. The tariffs came into effect in July, targeting countries including the UK and China as well as the European Union, over Washington's contention that they have failed to properly tackle forced labour. In a legal document seen by the BBC, the coalition of Democratic states said the decision was "arbitrary, capricious, and contrary to law."

The Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) has announced that they shot down a sophisticated USAF MQ-9 Reaper drone over the Strait of Hormuz using a "modern and advanced" air defense system. Two dozen MQ-9s have been destroyed since the start of the illegal and reckless US war against Iran on Israel's behalf, nearly 20% of the DOD pre-war inventory. At $30m per airframe, the total cost to the American taxpayer is estimated at approximately $1 billion. General Atomics, the manufacturer, has confirmed that fewer than ten new airframes remain available for purchase and the production line for the MQ-9A has been shut down.

It makes it easy to trick them into doing things they shouldn't, such as telling you how to sabotage an aircraft's navigation system.

It is impossible to make large language models fully secure against hacks because of a fundamental flaw in how they work, a team of researchers argue in a paper presented at the International Conference on Machine Learning, a top AI conference, this month.

The claim has huge implications for the safety of this technology, which is being used in more and more applications, from government and military systems to online shopping and health care.

The White House was directly involved in acting Attorney General Todd Blanche's order to formally rescind the president's $1.8 billion "anti-weaponization" fund, multiple sources familiar with the matter told CNN.

President Donald Trump was aware of the deal struck between Blanche and the two key holdout Senate Republicans on his nomination, John Cornyn and Thom Tillis, to formally rescind the controversial fund and limit a prior agreement with the IRS regarding tax investigations into the president and his family members to retroactive actions, the official said.

New bombshell reporting by Wired reveals an incident in which the testing of an experimental GPS jammer resulted in a medical plane crashing into the side of a mountain. The horrifying incident happened in May, the publication reports, when a small twin-engine medevac aircraft carrying two pilots and two medical workers departed from Roswell, New Mexico. Heading West for the small mountain village of Ruidoso, the crew became the victim of an electronic warfare exercise being conducted at the nearby White Sands Missile Range, a test which rendered their navigational system inoperable.

Ex-FBI SA Patrick Steven Yaroch was arrested and charged with stealing approximately $1 million belonging to foreign adversaries, using sensitive intelligence he accessed through bureau systems. Stationed in Ashburn, VA, this former FBI counterintelligence agent allegedly executed 10 to 12 transactions beginning in late 2024 to move digital assets from foreign adversarial wallets into his own accounts. His scheme unraveled when he confessed to a colleague during a "crisis of conscience" on 28 July 2026.

Iraqi Shia network is being used by Iran to drag US and Arab countries into longer and costlier fight.

President Trump on Sunday said that he is "not looking to kill people" as he seeks a deal with Iran, telling reporters that negotiations with Iranian officials are set for Monday. Trump told reporters on Air Force One that the latest round of talks was orchestrated by Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and Qatar. He said the U.S. had "an attack planned that would have been the biggest attack since World War II" on Iran before the Gulf countries reached out to the U.S. "We're ready to go any time we want," he said about the potential for the U.S. striking back at Iran. "Would I rather make a deal? I'm not looking to kill people. People die. A lot of people die and we don't want that."

Former Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor-Greene (R-GA): "We said no more foreign wars and we meant it and supported Dummkopf Trumpf because he made that promise. But he's betrayed us all. Our commitment is America First for all Americans, right, left, and center. The movement has begun."

President Donald Trump announced he is canceling planned attacks on Iran, citing progress in talks. He said the pause is contingent on "being able to rapidly make a DEAL," comments that come a day after US officials said new strikes could take place as soon as this weekend.
