Trump's Cognitive Decline Becoming a Troubling Concern

Las Vegas Sun: Donald Trump's racism, sexism, xenophobia and penchant for corruption have long made him unfit for any public office, let alone the presidency. But as he continues his bid for a second term in the White House, there is an unsettling and undeniable shift that is leading many experts, observers and even some Trump supporters to conclude that the former president's mental acuity and sharpness are also in decline, that his physical health and stamina are waning and that his frustration and anger are boiling over.

Americans from both sides of the political spectrum should be alarmed by Trump's words and behavior. The nation must confront the fact that beyond his hateful character, he is crippled cognitively and showing clear signs of mental illness.

There's no need to resort to armchair psychology to interpret what's apparent. If victorious, Trump would be the oldest president ever inaugurated. In recent weeks, he has canceled an increasing number of public appearances, with Trump's own campaign citing the candidate's exhaustion. When he does appear publicly, Trump struggles to complete sentences or sustain coherent thoughts, and has shown a pronounced difficulty concentrating and a tendency to repeat himself, sometimes within the same sentence.

Funny how this was the fatal flaw that caused Joe Biden to drop out, yet Trump supporters are ignoring a worse decline in him - evident almost every single day as he attempts to give his stump speeches.

"Donald Trump has never had the moral compass to lead this country. But even his supporters cannot afford to ignore the signs that he may no longer have the mental faculties to lead it either. The stakes are simply too high."

Indeed.

Trump is exhibiting indicators of having recently experienced a minor stroke. The leg dragging should be very concerning to all but especially to those who were pointing at Biden's signs of decline. x.com

Trump is way past early onset.

His truncated campaign schedule is a clear indication that his staff is just trying to keep him half-way medicinally lucid until the election.

We'll find out what medications he's been on when he goes to trial and his attorney tries to declare him mentally incompetent.

The only thing that is keeping Orange Adolf upright is his adderall and cocaine cocktail.
He's going to crash and we are going to have a few "weekend at Donnie's" moments.

I can hardly wait for Jack Smith to pounce so we can get off this election gig and move on to Trumps many trials. I think we're going to need a scorecard.

so we can get off this election gig and move on

2028 campaign starts in six days.

Meanwhile Putin and Xi are licking their chops at the prospect of a true Dotard on the other side of the table, easily open to manipulation by flattery. They are laughing at the chance to face JV, if Der Dotard were to die in office. A mouse facing two cobras is not an image American people want to see ...

Yeah, I know, but we're burned out on elections. We'll need the trials to keep us titillated between November '24 and the next election.

America always provides.

If he wins there won't be any trials. If he loses he'll be in a wheelchair, Melania-sized dark glasses and an oxygen mask so fast it will make your head spin.

Naw! I'm counting on him losing and watching his attorneys try to get him off as being mentally incompetent to stand trial.

Sometimes it appears that they're already building their case. One Trump flub after another along with his nonsensical meandering and truncated schedule at the most important time in a campaign.

Something in the political air has changed these last few days. I can't be the only one who senses it.

#11 | Posted by Twinpac at 2024-10-31 11:21 PM

If he loses his lawyers will disappear so fast it will look like a David Copperfield trick.

"If he loses his lawyers will disappear"

Do you mean because they think they're not going to get paid?

Do you mean because they think they're not going to get paid?

Not paid, not made AG, not going to be on SCOTUS.

Dotard's father died with Alzheimer's. We know that it runs in families, so it makes perfect sense that he too has it. My maternal grandmother died with it in at age 90. My mom has mid to late stage at 84, diagnozed a couple of years ago, now in assisted living and declining rapidly. She started showing signs about 12 years ago, but I really noticed it over Covid while talking on the phone to her three times per week. Combover Quisling appears to be where my mom was three or four years ago, she was still able to partially care for herself, and if you didn't know her she came off as pretty normal during short stints, but she had fallen far from the brilliant former high school teacher with two masters degrees she once was. She believed conspiracies, she would read me the same paragraph from her magazine over and over each time thinking it was the first time, she would sundown like crazy, so just like Dotard's current condition, but my mom can still walk down ramps, open doors, and can drink water with one hand.

GUNSLINGER

I had a similar experience with my own mother. Her decline was gradual at first and wasn't noticeable by anybody except those who knew her the best. It took about two years, off and on, before she went into a rapid decline from which there was no return. Her mind just went away and never came back.

Anybody who has had any experience with a victim of Alzheimer doesn't need a medical degree to recognize the symptoms in Trump. He hasn't reached the rapid decline stage yet, but it won't be long.

#16 | Posted by Twinpac at 2024-11-01 05:17 AM

Trump's cognitive decline, coupled with a cadre of "yes men" is a recipe for utter chaos! I refuse to believe that Americans will return that lying POS to the White House.

#17 | Posted by FedUpWithPols at 2024-11-01 07:06 AM

The right wing loves presidents with dementia. Look at how much they worshiped Ronnie Ray-gun.

They still try to claim that his Alzheimer's wasn't affecting him while he was in office when it clearly and obviously was.

I absolutely agree with the headline. Problem is Democrats and their media allies have ZERO credibility raising this issue after they ran cover for Biden for 4 years. ZERO CREDIBILITY.

ZERO CREDIBILITY.

#19 | POSTED BY BELLRINGER

lol

Still stinging from the Dems pulling a fast one on you?

Biden is no longer in the running.

Did you see how Dems did that?

Oops sorry too late for you. You are stuck with that old dementia addled dotard now.

Oh dear! Maybe 16 years ago you should have picked a better candidate when you had the chance.

Dems have way more credibility on this issue than republicans. They figured out what to do to save the Party.

When do you think will republicans figure out what they need to do?

Dems got biden to step aside.

Why can't repubs do that to trump?

Oh because you're a cult and we're not.

" Dems got biden to step aside"

Only because he was so badly exposed in that debate he was all but guaranteed to lose. Had that debate not taken place he'd still be the nominee.

The same debate had your cult leader spouting a fountain of lies that would have guaranteed a loss if your party wasn't a fascist cult.

#23 | Posted by SpeakSoftly at 2024-11-01 02:39 PM

Wow...going on 4 years of Biden pretending to be POTUS, but instead in severe cognitive decline was met by absurd Democrats doing their "I hear no evil see no evil" routine. Dems now fretting and covering up and keeping Biden on a short leash.

#24 | Posted by Robson at 2024-11-01 08:30 PM

If, heaven forbid, he wins, he's already set himself up to get 25th Amendment-ed by Vance around 2/1/25. Agent Orange has always been expendable as far as the people with real money and power have been concerned.

Yep, one way or the other DonOLD has outlived his usefulness to the Republican party (and to Putin) after November 5th. If he wins, they'll probably let him be inaugurated, but it won't be long after that that he'll be replaced by Vance. If he's lucky, they'll just 25th amendment him out. If he's unlucky, he'll have a sudden heart attack or fall off a balcony.

#28 | Posted by Gal_Tuesday at 2024-11-02 11:18 AM

Trump wanted generals like Hitler's? He'll get them, maybe not military generals but administrative ones. Vance has already demonstrated he's with the Project 2025 program and doesn't give a damn about Ukraine. DonOLD is expendable. Vance will be as ruthless as Trump without all of Trump's malignant narcissistic baggage. Oh, sure, the base will be upset, but they'll give him a hero's exit. I just hope they don't get someone to assassinate him who won't miss and give him a martyr's exit, but they might, especially if they can make it look like the shooter is from the radical lunatic left.
