The Philadelphia Eagles took a 34-0 lead over the Kansas City Chiefs, put in their backups and coasted to a 40-22 victory, ending the Chiefs bid for a threepeat. Jalen Hurts threw for two touchdowns and tush-pushed a third, winning MVP. The Eagles defensive front could have shared that award, sacking Patrick Mahomes six times and pressuring him into two interceptions.
I compare all Super Bowl halftime shows to my #1 favorite - Prince. Which will forever be tough to beat as the combination of rain + brilliant artistry + established musical legend hits all the notes for it to earn elite status. Some folks put the Michael Jackson Super Bowl halftime show in the same category, but that was 1993 ;).
"Average" halftime show category for me is the forgettable ones which I only vaguely remember thanks to the Wikipedia list of all Super Bowl halftime shows (en.m.wikipedia.org):
Bruno Mars, Maroon 5, Coldplay, Justin Timberlake
Bad is all subjective (The Weekend).
Kendrick's performance was above average. The show guest stars contained a lot of lore - SZA and Serena Williams used to date Drake. Kendrick called out drake for being in weird contact with minors. It can very well be considered Kendrick's year, as he is fresh from winning the record of the year Grammy, bringing his total Grammy collection to over 20, to stack along his multiple other awards including the Pulitzer Prize
