What Kind of Country are We Becoming?

In new details, attorneys say ICE explicitly told one mother to bring her children with her to a check-in and knew in advance that another mother's child had Stage 4 cancer.

More

The Trump Administration illegally deported, against his mother's will, a 4-year-old U.S. citizen with Stage four cancer. Tell me - what crime did this child commit?

The rights of every American are endangered by this kind of lawless action by our government.[image or embed]

We don't know. We have never been here before.

And the fact that we don't know any more is not very comforting.

TRUMP SUCKS.

And he has for as long as I have been aware of his existence 10-15 years ago.

Yet Americans voted for him anyway.

So what does that say about Americans?

Too many of these creeps denying rights and expelling citizens from our shore are our neighbors or people we see at church. The enemies of freedom are among us...

Seems to me we are becoming a Fascist dictatorship. I want to know what our sold-out Supreme Court is planning to do about a President who just ignores their decisions and what are Republicans in Congress going to do about "high crimes and misdemeaners" being committed by the President?

Always been that way. The FBI and CIA have been the enemy of freedom for decades.
I've always been way more concerned about some dude from Iowa in the CIA than I have of some KGB agent.

We are becoming a country like the Republican President and his MAGA Cult; no honor, no morals, no ethics, no intelligence, no humility, no perspective, no brains, no heart.... or like we used to say in Texas, people who are just plain, 'no account'.

Money is King, and it's love is the root of all evil; corporations and countries have made bean counting the Bottom Line, not The People; which allow them to commit any atrocity if it makes a profit; surely the Invisible Hand of the Divine Market knows best.

A very famous post WWII experiment into why formerly normal people became cruel, humanity-free Nazi gas chamber guards determined that the ability to pass the responsibility for war crimes upwards to their Bosses relieved them of any guilt.

Much the same way the ability to make the Bottom Line King in non-human Corporations makes poisoning the climate or our food and water, and our politics, OK too.

Maybe someone more familiar with finance law can educate me, but don't they have to act that way by law? If you don't close the factory and ship the jobs over seas, destroying the town, but giving you more profits, then the shareholders can sue you?
