Newsom: Trump is Destroying U.S. Democracy

"California may be first, but it clearly won't end here. Other states are next. Democracy is next. Democracy is under assault right before our eyes -- the moment we've feared has arrived. ... Trump is pulling a military dragnet all across Los Angeles. Well beyond his stated intent to just go after violent and serious criminals, his agents are arresting dishwashers, gardeners, day laborers and seamstresses." -- California Gov. Gavin Newsom

DEATH TO TYRANTS

Another cookie-cutter Madlib from DR lib kids. I guess that makes sense since the last time I had a lot of fun with Madlibs was when I was a child.

"Well beyond his stated intent to just go after violent and serious criminals, his agents are arresting dishwashers, gardeners, day laborers and seamstresses.""

This is hilarious. So if someone murders someone else, we shouldn't arrest them if they are a dishwasher. If anyone commits any crime, we shouldn't arrest them if they have a job. That is stupid logic and just adds to the mounting evidence of why America is getting sick of the liberal mentality.

Do you not realize that most of the people being arrested currently didn't enter illegally. They were here legally under temporary protected status until Trump recently revoked that status despite the conditions that resulted in their home countries not having improved, and in many cases (hello Haiti) have worsened significantly. We welcomed them in to escape political and climate instability in their home countries. Some of them are DREAMERS who were small children when they were first brought here and have known no other life than living in the US. They've grown up here, went to college here even started business here but have been denied a path to citizenship because of congressional intransigence. They aren't the criminals that the 34x felon Trump claims they are. What is being done to many of them is the real crime.

Trump is president.

What use is democracy to him anymore?

Hummerboy cares not about Trump's ICE Brownshirt Gestapo kidnapping people on the street or when they come to an Immigration appointment and are separated from their children, who are also detained in custody.... are NOT criminal, but are taken because they are brown-skinned.

So, typical Trump Cultist.

"Are you seriously this f*&^ing stupid?"

LOL!!!

(the answer would be yes)

denied a path to citizenship because of congressional intransigence.

The manufactured border crisis is the #1 campaign issue for the GCCCP. Don't expect them to fix it any time soon.

They need the fear Faux Nooz brainwashes into the heads of Gammy and Paw Paw on a daily basis.

I mean, where else would Rafael Cancun Cruz go to cosplay if it weren't for the border.

So if someone murders someone else, we shouldn't arrest them if they are a dishwasher.

Go get someone smart to explain this sentence to you.

"Well beyond his stated intent to just go after violent and serious criminals, his agents are arresting dishwashers, gardeners, day laborers and seamstresses."

Commas have meaning.

Both Jim Mattis and Trump's old Chief of Staff, John Kelly, said that Trump was a fascist to his core. Of course it will get worse.

"Trump is president."

a 2nd term president.....he was dangerous enough in his first term.

Yeah, those guys are giving him too much credit.

Trump is not smart enough to understand the actual concept of 'fascism'.

And, BTW, there has been a movie made about the current administration:

The tyrant is Newsome, see COVID lockdowns he dictated to his constituents that he routinely violated himself.

I'd say Florida is the next target of the Nazis but I think Texas is closer to becominise.g a Nazi paradise. Florida is populated by too many people from New York, especially South Florida to become as ignorant as Texas.

No wonder you can't sell. Maybe have someone rewrite your listing description.

That's hilarious.

We do not have a 'democracy, which is essentially mob rule. Try Representative Republic. Of course when dems use the term 'democracy', what they mean is 'whatever we say it is.

#18 | Posted by MSgt at 2025-06-12 01:00 PM

Try Representative Republic.

If you can keep it. Which you apparently can't.

#19 | Posted by REDIAL at 2025-06-12 01:05 PM

We do not have a 'democracy, which is essentially mob rule.

Here we go again.

No we are not a pure democracy. Not a pure republic either.
We are a constitutional democratic republic. A republic based on a constitution. Not the will of a monarch.

We are a blend of those types of governments with three "coequal" branches of government.

Mutts if you will.

...

Of course when dems use the term 'democracy', what they mean is 'whatever we say it is.

#18 | POSTED BY MSGT

Of course they do! Especially the ones living in your head.

They mean we live in a democratic republic you moron. Our leaders and representatives are elected. Not appointed by the senate or a monarch. The president does not make the law. He is to faithfully enforce it. In accordance with the INTENT of and the will of the constitution. Not the will of a mad king.

We have democratic institutions legislated into law by our ELECTED REPRESENTATIVES. And those institutions should only be changed or eliminated by Congress.

dems want to talk about distraction.
here's projection 101

proposed 2025-26 spending: $226 billion.

Projected 2025-26 revenues: $207 billion.

---CalMaters

he'll lie about anything than talk about this deficit.

you know in that state that's the economic boom
as opposed to states like Texas that have a constitutional
amendment that allows for no deficiet spending.
