No one wants to listen to liberals

While taping his Thursday show, host Stephen Colbert made the surprising announcement that CBS is ending his late night show in May. The live audience at New York's Ed Sullivan Theater booed when he delivered the news that this would be the show's final season. "Yeah, I share your feelings," he told the audience. "It's not just the end our our show, but it's the end of The Late Show on CBS. I'm not being replaced. This is all just going away."

"The Late Show with Stephen Colbert" has consistently been the most-watched program in its timeslot. Recent reports show Colbert's show averaging around 2.4 million viewers, making it the leader in viewership among late-night programs.

So why the cancellation? Doesn't take a rocket scientist, just a barely functional human mind can figure it out:

CBS/Paramount are one company.
Skydance Media and Paramount Global are merging.
The merger needs approval by trump and his admin.

60 minutes settled (never should have, rock solid case and they'd have won) over nonsense by bribing trump.
CBS cancels Colbert, one of the most outspoken critics of that ------- tRump. Another bribe to grease those merger skids.

Figured it out, yet, Boaz?

Cobert's show is brilliant, by the way.

Been wondering when the revenge and retribution Mad King would bring the hammer down on Steven Colbert.

Release the Colbert files!

No worrues. We have a whole year for the truth to leak out.

I just don't understand why these shows need to be political.

If you were a "Real American" with a deep understanding of Americans and American politics and American history you would understand completely that political satire existed in the American colonies even before independence, often used to criticize British rule and advocate for independence.

For example: Benjamin Franklin was a satirist and significant figure in early American political satire, using it in his writings, such as "Rules by Which a Great Empire May Be Reduced to a Small One". He is also credited with creating the first American political cartoon, "Join, or Die", in 1754.

And if you had even half a clue you'd know exactly why political satire is so important to Americans today.

Maybe read a book?
