Reagan was a RINO.

Reagan's Daughter Says He Wouldn't Want to Be in GOP Today

Sure he would. All he cared about was cutting taxes no matter how much it hurt this country and its citizens.

Everything else the GOP does (e.g., attacking gays, abortion rights, trans, Blacks, Mexicans) is just an outgrowth of the Southern Strategy to convince the rubes to support the party of billionaires by voting against their self-interest.

I believe she overestimates her old man.

He would have adjusted to become as Trumpzi as the rest of them.

It's not even hard to follow the progression from then to now.

I'm not sure I agree. Reagan was very much OK with manipulating the masses to empower rich people by using charisma and charm and funny anecdotes to change the subject.

I think if he were alive today he would marvel at how successful the manipulation of the masses has gotten.

The more important question is would he refute the "supply-side" economics that he introduced, since it has not worked as promised (which David Stockman admitted to), and played a big part in the angry, divided nation we all live in today. Wealth has trickled up and little to nothing has trickled down, leaving America with a hollowed out middle-class to support the cost of running the government, all-the-while being the largest component of the engine that sustains our economy. Sooner or later, something's going to give.

"since it has not worked as promised (which David Stockman admitted to)"

Great point.

And more to it: Stockman admitted it was made-up bullschittt, to justify tax cuts for the wealthiest.

Sound familiar?

Reagan's repealing of the Fairness Doctrine doomed the world

The morons believe that bull shitake hook line and sinker.

It was never meant to create jobs, create investment and grow our economy. Those were just lies thrown out to see if you can get people making $30K a year to want to give people making $30K a minute huge tax cuts that will bankrupt the social safety net.

It was meant to concentrate wealth at the top.

And it works perfectly.

We had to create a new word for the Bezos' of the world....centibillionaire. Someone with over $100 BILLION in assets.

For someone to have a hobby of going to space while the WSJ is telling people that in order to afford their rent they should cut out one meal a day is disgusting.

We went from telling the working class to stop eating avocado toast to stop eating as means of paying rent.

Disgusting.

The 1% are building massive bunkers out of fear of the poor turning on them. This is a good reason why.

right and right Nixon...

The Social Contract that once existed between the rich and everyone else is dead.
The rich have seen to it to stick a few dozen nails in that coffin (raising the prices of
everything without necessary justification).

If you want to 'rise up' and wave around a gun, just be sure you know what direction
to point the gun in...(hint, hint)...not at the poor or middle class...
