Care in places like Spokane Washington. These are not women seeking abortions, but regular care for wanted and healthy pregnancies. Women in Bonner County only option when it's time to deliver is to drive hours, or use a midwife. "(W)omen who lack access to hospitals with obstetrics care are more likely to face health consequences, including a higher risk of preterm birth, which is associated with asthma, hearing loss, intellectual disabilities and other lifelong impacts for children." |
