These people have been emboldened by Trump's appointment of three conservative justices to the Supreme Court and especially by the appointment of Amy Coney Barrett:

During a recent interview on the program of self-proclaimed "prophet" and QAnon conspiracy theorist Johnny Enlow, Alabama Supreme Court Chief Justice Tom Parker indicated that he is a proponent of the "Seven Mountain Mandate," a theological approach that calls on Christians to impose fundamentalist values on all aspects of American life.

Enlow is a pro-Trump "prophet" and leading proponent of the "Seven Mountain Mandate," a "quasi-biblical blueprint for theocracy" that asserts that Christians must impose fundamentalist values on American society by conquering the "seven mountains" of cultural influence in U.S. life: government, education, media, religion, family, business, and entertainment.

In the interview on Enlow's program--which was uploaded the same day as the ruling was issued--Parker claimed that "God created government" and said it's "heartbreaking" that "we have let it go into the possession of others." Parker then invoked the Seven Mountain Mandate, saying, "And that's why he is calling and equipping people to step back into these mountains right now."

Parker also claimed that God "is equipping me with something for the very specific situation that I'm facing," and responded affirmatively when Enlow asked if "the holy spirit is there" when he's "arbitrating a session" and performing his job as chief justice.

- a "quasi-biblical blueprint for theocracy"

Since when do state Courts decide theological matters, in a comically obtuse way, and then apply them to law, rather than deciding legal matters?

Paul said nationalism was, "garbage". CS Lewis wrote that there was, "a pretty cageful" of them in Hell.

These people are Authoritarian Cultists, not unlike Pol Pot, who insanely worshipped HIS view of Stalin, and killed a couple of million people.

Whatever Courts are responsible, up to and including the SC, need to nip the BS in the bud.

Our country is being ruled by people who believe fanatically in the words of people who used communal brushes to wipe their asses after --------.

We are doomed.

What chief justice is going to appear on such a show? What the hell is wrong with people?

I know, it's Alabama. My wife's a lefty, born in AL in the mid 50s. Her family's largely written her off.

This article is about the government setting us up to accept a "National Religion."

however . . .

The First Amendment in the Bill of Rights prevents the government from creating or favoring a religion.

When Dictator Trump abolishes the Bill of Rights, (which he will) you will also lose your Freedom of the Press or media, Freedom of Speech, Freedom of assembly to protest, Freedom to address grievances, and the right to a speedy/fair trial.

And that's just for openers.

There are 9 other Amendments in the Bill of Rights, all of which will be abolished and replaced with tyranny.

Consider carefully. You won't know what you're losing until you don't have it any more. Protest your loss of freedom and you'll end up in jail.

Every woman in Alabammy is free to use the HOV lane now.

If embryos are children, surely the eggs are too.

Jeebus has spoken.

So Embryos and Eggs just became tax deductible in Alabammy?

If Sperm becomes tax deductible I am considering moving there.

"So Embryos and Eggs just became tax deductible in Alabammy?"

I'm waiting for the Alabama mother, forbidden access to her embryos, to deduct 20 offspring on her state tax return.
