The man who attacked the husband of former US House of Representatives Speaker Nancy Pelosi has been sentenced to 30 years in prison.

I should add something to my previous post; I do not hope that cretin meets similar violent attacks while he serves his sentence, if I did I would be descending to the ignorant and psychotic level of THEBULL and I'm not going to do that.

It's excessive.

Not because he's not that bad, he is. But prison sentences in the US are unfortunately frequently excessive.

We should go to the model Norway uses, a 21 year maximum sentence for any crime with the possibility of holding somebody longer if they're truly still a danger to society. This guy should probably have gotten 10 years, with the possibility of extension if he's still dangerous.

(I don't expect Drumpf to live 21 more years, but if he did he'd almost certainly still be a danger.)

Last year a man chased down and ran over and killed an 18 year old because he thought the 18 year old was a radical Republican. Who received a five year sentence which included a year under house arrest.

This guy gets 30 years? I'm glad he will be serving time but 30 years seems excessive.

Did he also admit he was intending to kidnap and torture a public official who was 3rd in line to the Presidency? Who's house he had broken into?

That gets you into Secret Service territory. I'd expect that's not a good place to be.
