Drudge Retort: The Other Side of the News
Friday, May 24, 2024

The International Court of Justice on Friday ordered Israel to immediately halt its military assault on Rafah, the city in southern Gaza where more than 1 million people had sought refuge in dire conditions. The top United Nations court cited an "immediate risk" to Palestinians, noting that more than 800,000 people had been forced to flee Rafah since Israeli forces began ground operations in an area that had once been declared a safe zone. Judge Nawaf Salam, president of the ICJ, said Israel had failed to sufficiently address and dispel concerns raised by its offensive, all while the "catastrophic" living conditions of Palestinians in the strip had deteriorated further. Israel is unlikely to comply with the order, which the ICJ has no power to enforce, but the landmark ruling will pile pressure on the increasingly isolated U.S. ally.

Friday's ruling comes just days after the International Criminal Court's chief prosecutor applied for arrest warrants for Netanyahu and Defense Minister Yoav Gallant, as well as Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar and others over alleged war crimes.

The ICC can charge people with war crimes and other related charges. It is separate from the ICJ, which considers cases between states and has no real power to enforce its rulings.

Unfortunately Israel and it's eager partner in genocide, the US, couldn't care less about the ICJ.

Helluva thing, the US standing with the likes of Netanyahu, Ben-Gvir, Smotrich, and other lunatic tribal supremacists in endorsing the ongoing collective punishments meted out to the people of Gaza and the West Bank.

Israel may have strained a muscle yawning.

The ICJ should consider issuing some rulings on Palestinians raping and murdering 1,200 Israeli civilian men, women, and children. But then the Palestinians might hurt themselves laughing; which would be GENOCIDE!

"Four of the justices at the International Court of Justice argue that the key operative clause in the court's ruling, handed down today, does not require that Israel immediately halt all military operations in Rafah" www.timesofisrael.com

He keeps repeating this lie because every American who supports Isn'treal is a total cuckold.

He jerks off to interracial porn daily before he comments here or climbs into bed with "his" wife.

It's the only thing that can get him going.

As the United States is recognized as complicit in genocide I expect Biden to eventually be forced to rebuke the ZAKA propaganda that has infiltrated intelligence briefings.

Israel is also performing missile strikes in West Bank.

The intent isn't Palestinian statehood and never was.

Certainly not when the Palestinians turned it down, repeatedly. "How Palestine rejected offer to have its own state 5 times in the past" lawandsocietymagazine.com

Because it would have required them to allow Israel and the Jews to exist in peace. I guess they prefer the alternative, then as well as now. So, enjoy, I guess.

Nothing about ZAKA talking points infesting our presidents intelligence apparatus and the direct impact as US directives?

We've established the statehood part is complicated.

Lies repeated by leadership is not.

Nothing the least bit complicated about it.

The Palestinians would like to see Israel and the Jews destroyed, to the point where they have repeatedly refused any peace that would allow those to exist.

It's only complicated if you want to try to fabricate some universe in which Palestinians are completely devoid of agency and cannot be held responsible for their genocidal acts and goals.

Statehood without an army and the means of self defense is not really Sovereignty.

The terms Israel demanded were totally unacceptable.

Israel wants Land not Peace.

They want to dominate the whole region. The US approves.

"Palestinian's Don't Exist And the pretend Palestinians need to disappear".

They have no real"Culture". They have "No Right to Exist".

I'm Channeling my inner Censored.

I have to say it really doesn't feel good at all.

I can only imagine what living in Israel must feel like.

Especially for the UnChosen.

Idk....

The IDF is uncovering Hamas used UN facilities.

Wonder if this is to prevent it from uncovering more.

Obstruction of justice.

Boy, the IDF loves to tell them some Whoppers.

I'm still confused about all those non existent Beheaded babies.

It's like lying isn't a problem if they're the ones telling them.

Trump has that knack too.

Israel kills dozens of Palestinians sheltering at a displacement camp in Rafah 41,628 views 3 hours ago

Apparently, Israel decided to "retaliate" for alleged Hamas rockets by firing 8 missiles into the heart of the remaining Gaza population, not even into the region that the alleged Hamas rockets originated. The dead and injured hasn't been verified.

There are no military targets, just terrorized, hungry people herded into a Temple Grandin-style "safety zone".
