I am wondering why the GOP had no interest in hearings about SS cell phone wipes after Jan 6.

Actually, I'm pretty sure I already know...

Kimberly Cheatle typical worthless do nothing obsessed bureaucrat that failed doing her job and now tells us how good of a job she and her staff does.

Her answer is " what I can tell you now is nothing."

She needs to resign now just as the Repub director did when Reagan was shot. Government always refuses to hold their bureaucrats accountable just as GW Bush failed on 9-11 and Biden on Afghanistan. You see they refuse to have accountability because they are afraid of whistle blowers that will come forth from those who are held accountable.

Cheatle is representative of why we need to hire only the best and brightest and never ever make it contingent on politics, race, gender or any other DEI characteristic aside from a reputation of candor, zeal and pure competence.

I am not a conspiracy theory guy but I think it was a setup. Period.

- The Secret Service is full to fervent Trumpers. A problem Biden had with his detail when taking office...
- They had snipers on 4 roof top positions.
- They knew the kid was up there (sent a "deputy" to confront him and he chased off) and KNEW he had a gun.
- Trump turned his head and just stared in the direction the bullet came from stayed still and was barely grazed. (I don't think he was supposed to be grazed.)
- They plonked the kid.
- When Trump was here at the airport you couldn't get within literal miles without going through security checkpoints. Same when I was in GR this weekend. Not miles but you were not getting within visual range.
- Where did he get that BIG ladder?
- It happened JUST prior to the convention?

Sorry but as bad as the Secret Service's reputation is for DECADES now, I am not buying they let this kid through.

If you are, you are telling me:
- A Sniper was not aiming at him prior to the deputy climbing the ladder?
- A Sniper did not immediately aim at him when the deputy used his radio?
- They didn't immediately hustle Trump out of there when they became aware? They "waited" for the shot?

I am sorry - this was contrived. It was meant to rally the base.

The head of the SS is a Biden appointee. She has extensive experience. Lady is about to get dragged by both sides.

That was the police's ladder. There's 2 ladders seen. He didn't go to Home Depot, buy a 15' ladder, and walk in with it. Police were supposed to be on that roof. It was too hot, so they didn't go up there. The guy who shot the assailant had to do what's called a Target Deconfliction, so he didn't accidentally shoot a police officer that he was told should have been on the roof over there.

You're attributing a lot of simple incompetence and negligence to malice.

This is the same Secret Service that posted a tiny agent at the door of the white house, that was physically run over by a nut who could have easily had a gun and shot the place up.

Same agency that's been around since 1865 couldn't control a parade route.

Remind me, who did you vote for president in 2016? 2020?

Is Kimberly the one who looks like she was ducking rather than taking a bullet for trump?

Republicans in Congress need to be careful about how hard they push for hearings and what questions might they ask her at a public meeting under oath. She may feel obliged to truthfully tell them that they were the ones who came to her with the idea of setting up a faux assassination attempt on Trump to boost his numbers. She may feel obliged to point out it was Jim Jordan and Matt Gaetz who suggested she instruct Trump to stand up bloodied, pumping his fist and shouting 'fight fight fight'!

Can't allow that being played out on national tv shortly before the general election.

Why would Mike Pence refuse to get in a car with Secret Service agents on J6?

And for the record, for once Fortfisher gave me a funnyy flag that I actually feel was deserved.

I've always been a strong believer in color and race blindness and equality just like MLK, unlike the current breed of Biden-Harris Democrats who are against all three and want to make them and societal divide the reason for their very existence.

Cackling Kamala from California will make it worse for all.

Kimberly Cheatle is so typical of todays govt Democrats in power -- incompetent, devious, sneaky, non transparent, unable. They fail us at every opportunity.
