"Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi said the agreement was "dedicated to the great reconciliation and unity of all 14 factions."

"The core outcome is that the PLO (Palestine Liberation Organization) is the sole legitimate representative of all Palestinian people," Wang said, adding that "an agreement has been reached on post-Gaza war governance and the establishment of a provisional national reconciliation government."

It was unclear from Wang's comments what role Hamas, which is not part of the PLO, would play in such an arrangement, or what the immediate impact of any deal would be.

The talks were held as the future governance of Palestinian territories remains in question following the Israel's repeated vow to eradicate Hamas in response to the group's October 7 terrorist attack on its territory."

.

Very interesting all this Chinese, Russian, and US interest in the same part of the world.

If the US is incapable of providing even the slightest bit of leadership on the issue we shouldn't be surprised when other countries pick up our slack.

Getting Hamas to suck up to the PLO is leadership?

If you understood the enmity between Hamas and Fatah you wouldn't have asked that question.

@#5 ... If you understood the enmity between Hamas and Fatah you wouldn't have asked that question. ...

How much of the Palestine people does that new alliance now represent?

Or did those two factions just agree to disagree because of the failures on the battlefield?

Derp... The Palestinian's are the ones being represented.

This gives them more choice about policy.

Like democracy is supposed be?

Israel fears That like Death itself.

A two state solution will never be allowed to develop.

It will remain one State, the JEWISH STATE.

Palestine is slated for Demolition.

Settlers need a place to live.

Over 20 years while the US wasted eight trillion dollars in Pashtunistan and Iraq, Beijing has steadily marched into space, participated in worldwide UNPKO, began building an east-west railroad in Africa, and now stepping up diplomatically in the Middle East.

BTW: Muslim Pakistan is allied to China and Islamabad doesn't seem to care about Beijing's repression of their fellow co-religionists (the Uighurs).
