The cryptocurrency community has anxiously been awaiting a speech by Donald Trump on Saturday, but his opponent Robert F. Kennedy Jr. may have stolen Trump's thunder by announcing that the former president is considering the creation of a massive government reserve of Bitcoin should he return to the White House.

More from the article...

... "I understand that tomorrow President Trump may announce his plan to build a Bitcoin Fort Knox and authorize the US government to buy a million Bitcoin as a strategic reserve asset," Kennedy told the Bitcoin 2024 conference in Nashville on Friday, a day before Trump was scheduled to speak at the same event. "And I applaud that announcement."

The Trump campaign did not respond to a request for comment on the remarks.

Kennedy told the conference that he would go even further than Trump if he's elected: He would sign an executive order on his first day in office directing the Treasury to buy Bitcoin every day and add it to the tokens currently held by the Department of Justice until the US builds a reserve of at least 4 million Bitcoin. ...

Bitcoin currency is a #45 and RFK Jr campaign platform?

Bitcoin investors lost a record $7.3 billion in three days and the FTC reports that consumers lose millions every year to cryptocurrency investment scams.

These are wonderful ideas from the Dotard and RFK Jr that will help hard-working Americans get ahead.

"massive government reserve of bitcoin" LOLOLOL!
That would be a massive reserve of...nothing much, since bitcoin has essentially the same value as any other Ponzi scheme.

And this man is pulling 5% of the vote!? The brain-worm, anti-vaxxer dude!?

I weep for the stupidity of this country. Low education is killing America, not Republicans or Democrats.

Here's an interesting twist presentation at the Bitcoin conference...

Edward Snowden criticizes political system at Nashville's Bitcoin conference
www.msn.com

... Republican Sens. Cynthia Lummis and Tim Scott pledged their resolute support for the cryptocurrency industry at Nashville's Bitcoin2024 conference Friday -- moments before whistleblower and political dissident Edward Snowden warned attendees to be wary of politicians trying to win them over.

"Cast a vote, but don't join a cult," Snowden said. "They are not our tribe. They are not your personality. They have their own interests, their own values, their own things that they're chasing. Try to get what you need from them, but don't give yourself to them."

Snowden didn't call out any politicians specifically, but the conference has drawn national attention for its robust lineup of legislators including former President Donald Trump, independent presidential nominee Robert F. Kennedy Jr, former presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy and a number of other senators. ...

Future faking. It's all he has... vote for me... and someday all this will be yours. Do you see his face when he does that?> He closes his eyes smiles like he's dreaming a happy dream... People go for it...

@#8 True, the Dotard certainly has the touch of death. And the Trump Crime Family (TCF) won't a lose nickel on Bitcoin nonsense, but they'll let the American people go down in flames.

All those decades, the Donald didn't lose a penny to his Manhattan neighbor, arch goniff Bernie Madoff and his ginormous Ponzi scheme, because evil recognizes evil.

Your first article is about scams 80 million in crypto investment scams and while I couldn't find the overall 2020 investment scam numbers it was 1.8 billion in 2021 so even saying it doubled that means crypto was less than 10% of investment scams in 2020.

Second article is very valid but the same could be said about almost any investment. I've lost a larger percentage on dumb stock picks as well. Buying at the top of a hype cycle will rarely work out well for an investor in anything.

Third article is about FTX which other than being "crypto" had almost nothing to do with Bitcoin.

Final article if you bought 1000 worth of Bitcoin the day the article is dated you would have about 1298 worth now a 29.8% increase since then. Not to say that we aren't in a hype cycle and in a year that 1000 might be down to 500 but as of right now that is a particularly bad article and date to use to prove Bitcoin is bad. Same overall response as #2 investing has risks doesn't matter if it's bitcoin or stocks.

Bottom line is do your research buy from legit exchanges and then self custody just incase they are less legit than you thought. Elon Musk won't send you two of anything if you send him one of them. Most importantly don't invest more than you can afford to lose in ANYTHING.
