Let's see where we are one week after the convention. She needs to be up in Michigan and Pennsylvania if she is going to win this with any ease.

I saw a poll last week that had her up +10 pts in MI.
PA is still very tight, too tight...

I'd like to see her campaign have rallies in both GA and NC as well
as another in PA.

Still, no matter what happens, it will be a nail biter of an election. In 2016 it looked like Trump was going to lose, until at the last minute James Comey put his legal thumbs on the scale...

I'm waiting to see which state she pulls in the big guns ~~ Obama and Michelle.

The crowd wouldn't stop screaming for 15 minutes.

Or maybe in another state ~ Kamala's good friend BEYONCE' with her signature song "Freedom" playing in the background. Beyonce' said she'd do anything she could to help her friend Kamala.

Neither is out of the range of possibilities.

It will be calibrated, carefully. The Dems are running a serious national campaign. The GOPers? They're waiting for old Norma Desmond down at Mar-a-Lardo to get over the sulks and get to work. Good luck with that.

Re my #5

Trump wouldn't only be caught flat footed. He'd be hog-tied and branded with another "Big L."

First Obama's V.P. beat him and now the V.P. of the V.P. of Obama is beating him. That's gotta sting something fierce. No wonder Trump is aging so fast.

And then there's all those "trust me" promises he made to Mr. Putin about his second term. I'd be losing sleep too if I was Trump. Mr. Putin will not take kindly to being left in a lurch.

Next swing state poll will show Trump losing what was a red state

When she gets a comfortable lead in a couple swing states, we'll probably see some Republican congress critters start to distance themselves from him, too.

@#10 ... When she gets a comfortable lead in a couple swing states, we'll probably see some Republican congress critters start to distance themselves from him, too. ...

That's similar to what happened with Pres Biden

His dropping popularity was starting to affect down-ballot Democrats.

Similar to what happened to Nixon, as well, but for different reasons.

Toss-up + Dobbs Effect = Dems win by 2-5 points.
