... The network released new surveys on Wednesday comparing Harris' support in four battleground states to President Joe Biden's polling numbers prior to him suspending his reelection campaign in late July. The results found that Harris is locked in a tight race with former President Donald Trump in Arizona, Georgia, Nevada and North Carolina -- states where Biden once trailed the GOP presidential nominee by at least 5 points each. ...

imo...
Yeah, but...
VP Harris' campaign needs to turn this new-found Democratic enthusiasm into voters going to the polls, and also supporting the down-ticket candidates.

"and also supporting the down-ticket candidates."
My guess is a lot of new voters will choose Harris, because Dobbs.
I have trouble believing they're going to go to all that bother, and then turn around and vote for the folks who enable their rights being taken away.
My guess is the plurality of them vote straight ticket.

" to their rolls last month"
"Last month" being the important part. Wait another for the trend. Also: more weeks in the "month" might've been after the RNC in these numbers than the DNC.

Doesn't it always come down to Philadelphia?

"Doesn't it always come down to Philadelphia?"
Not if she wins North Carolina.
Cherry on top: She's expected to win the one available NE electoral vote. That may turn out big.

Harris's capturing of the zeitgeist is something I've never seen before.
While listening to the Philadelphia rally, I said to the bride I hadn't heard that sound since 2008.
It reminded me of the year Arizona won the World Series. I was working, and taped the game in an upstairs bedroom while I finished a project. Walking past that room, almost done, I heard a particular type of sound only reserved for mega-celebrations. If you're a sports fan, you know it.
I didn't have to watch the game. Welcome to 2024.

She will win PA, AZ, NV, NC, MI, WI and quite a few more. Her lead will expand a little in Sep and by quite a big margin in October. Trump doesn't know what hit him, still in denial, lol. New Voter Registration? It's up, record levels in some demographics like young women, black women, etc. Dobbs will ensure Harris wins but what many will not see coming is the house and the senate where the GOP will be slaughtered on Election Day with VOTES. Kari Lake is like 13 points behind her DEM competitor and this is just simply awesome to see. Election night will be a blow out and I for one, cannot wait to see the evil, despicable, disgusting traitor trump and his "clan" of misfits go down.
I predict she wins PA by 5-6 WI by 4-5 Michigan by 6 AZ by 3-4 NV by 3-4
This is me being conservative. : )

#11 I would feel much better if she and her football coach running mate would blitz the states actually campaigning, instead of doing television interviews which the majority of the nation (including myself) largely tune out.
a northern swing through PA, MI, WI is due... an mid-atlantic (south) swing through GA, NC would be helpful, and a desert SW swing to AZ, NM, and NV would help seal the deal.

He is so flummoxed he is advancing liberal positions on things like abortion.
Word has it that the forced birth people don't take kindly to that.

"He is so flummoxed he is advancing liberal positions on things like abortion." Trumpy will say whatever it takes to win. (And keep his arse out of prison)
But it does not matter. We already know he is a liar a cheat and a fraud and an unrepentant convicted felon.

Kamala campaign has stopped referencing her alleged job at McDonald's and won't respond to media questions seeking the location of the McDonald's store and the dates of her employment at McDonald's, which appears nowhere in her memoirs or early resumes.
Who lies about working at McDonalds? Now we know.

Who in the world would put that on their resume when they are applying for legal work, especially when you are highlighting experience as a law clerk and Senate intern?
You right-wing nutters demand Harris jump through hoops over nothing and when you get a hand in your face you act as if it proved something. It did prove something - that you're idiots.

It also proves you're scared shhtless over her. Which I think I am enjoying a bit too much to be honest. Don't mistake that as confidence in her winning, though. We have a tough fight. It's stunning to me that you still think Trump is something worth voting for, or defending.

What I'm seeing here (NC for those that don't know me) is that Trump excitement is WAY down. There is a huge BUT in that statement. I don't know a single Trumper, and I know many, who will admit that Trump is a bad choice. That would negate the last 8 years of their support for the guy and that is a tall hurdle to jump.
The most likely scenario for a Harris win here is for Trump to keep up with the self owns for two more months to the point his "supporters", who will NEVER vote for Harris, just can't bring themselves to vote at all. If Harris can get supporters to show up it might just flip the state and as an added bonus maybe we can keep Robinson out of the governor's mansion and maybe even break the veto proof majority in the legislature.
