Well, Trump established that there's no penalty for stealing and refusing to return sensitive documents. So why should they go through the process of getting devices issued when it's clearly just fine to simply have the documents unsecured and untracked?

I have a feeling cases of suspected espionage are going to go way up over the next four years.

And Biden proved to be the first president too incompetent to stand trial for the same exact accusations.

The Turd Lies. And spreads lies.

The claim: Joe Biden was declared 'mentally unfit' to stand trial

A Facebook ad distributed to more than 20,000 screens makes a claim about President Joe Biden's mental competency.

"First president in history declared mentally unfit to stand trial," reads text on an image of Biden.

The special counsel's report does not say Biden is mentally unfit for trial, as the Facebook post claims. The report makes no determination about Biden's competency to stand trial " a phrase with a specific legal definition " and that was not its purpose.

Will you look at that? The lying Turd quoted the lie exactly word for word.

Mark Twain once said, "A lie can travel halfway around the world while the truth is still putting on its shoes."

And it's probably a Russian lie the Turd gleefully is repeating.

What did you expect to happen?

Reasonable, given the FBI spied on Trump's transition team under Obama.

Exactly. But you forgot the "lock her up" part.

So, should the Trump transition team be locked up for using private email?

If not, why not?

More from the article ...

... The private emails have agency employees considering insisting on in-person meetings and document exchanges that they otherwise would have conducted electronically, according to two federal officials granted anonymity to discuss a sensitive situation. Their anxiety is particularly high in light of recent hacking attempts from China and Iran that targeted Trump, Vice President-elect JD Vance and other top officials.

"I can assure you that the transition teams are targets for foreign intelligence collection," said Michael Daniel, a former White House cyber coordinator who now leads the nonprofit online security organization Cyber Threat Alliance. "There are a lot of countries out there that want to know: What are the policy plans for the incoming administration?"

Trump -- who attacked his then-opponent Hillary Clinton over her use of a private email server for official business during his first presidential run -- is overseeing a fully privatized transition that communicates from an array of @transition47.com, @trumpvancetransition.com and @djtfp24.com accounts rather than anything ending in .gov, and uses private servers, laptops and cell phones instead of government-issued devices. ...

And, fwiw ...

Statement by FBI Director James B. Comey on the Investigation of Secretary Hillary Clinton's Use of a Personal E-Mail System (2016)
www.fbi.gov

... In looking back at our investigations into mishandling or removal of classified information, we cannot find a case that would support bringing criminal charges on these facts. All the cases prosecuted involved some combination of: clearly intentional and willful mishandling of classified information; or vast quantities of materials exposed in such a way as to support an inference of intentional misconduct; or indications of disloyalty to the United States; or efforts to obstruct justice. We do not see those things here.

To be clear, this is not to suggest that in similar circumstances, a person who engaged in this activity would face no consequences. To the contrary, those individuals are often subject to security or administrative sanctions. But that is not what we are deciding now.

As a result, although the Department of Justice makes final decisions on matters like this, we are expressing to Justice our view that no charges are appropriate in this case.

I know there will be intense public debate in the wake of this recommendation, as there was throughout this investigation. What I can assure the American people is that this investigation was done competently, honestly, and independently. No outside influence of any kind was brought to bear.

I know there were many opinions expressed by people who were not part of the investigation"including people in government"but none of that mattered to us. Opinions are irrelevant, and they were all uninformed by insight into our investigation, because we did the investigation the right way. Only facts matter, and the FBI found them here in an entirely apolitical and professional way. I couldn't be prouder to be part of this organization. ...

DOC

I'm still pondering the color of his hair. Should it be dyed blond,
dyed strawberry red or let it stay naturally grey commensurate with his advanced age.

And what best compliments his orange spray tan and phthalo-blue cholesterol bags under his eyes.

Lies and the lying liars who tell them.

He was not "ruled incompetent" nor was it for the "exact same accusations".

There was no trial because there was nothing to prosecute.
