When the price of gas shoots up, the dumbf**cks who drive a vehicle getting 12 mpg will be outraged.

The American people should not be forced to sacrifice choice and affordability when purchasing a new car,

LOL prices won't go down one bit because of this.

But people will now have to fill up more often, making more money for energy companies (is that where this guy comes from?).

Yet another way this administration will increase costs for the average person.

Let's face it. Oil tycoon can be wealthier.

It's not their fault they're a bunch of hoarders, more interested in destroying this nation than helping create a stronger future for humanity.

Republicans have done a fantastic job of convincing conservatives to isolate, distrust and in the end weaken themselves and this nation

If we were a united nation, the rich wouldn't be able to rob us so easily.

Too many racists, misogynists, homophobes and xenophobes in this country, so worried about the pennies going to the poor, they're distracted by the billions going to the rich.

Elon Musk thanks you all.

Near term West Texas Intermediate is at $72.70 this morning, and has traded in a range of about $67-88 over the past year. Oil companies continue to say they are focused on extraction from current wells and returning profits to investors; little is being discussed about new exploration. The new administration is not reading the room. Those in the business have already found all the easy oil. That which is sought now is expensive--either way out in the ocean, in some freezing climate or requires fracking. When oil producers say the price of oil is not worth them finding more, listen to them.

Now continues to be a great time to develop alternative sources, e.g., solar and wind. Doing so is faster and cheaper than the process of brining an oil or gas well on line. Further development of these sources is hindered by one thing--naive politicians who are not paying attention to what their special interests are telling them...
