Trump Fires Joint Chiefs of Staff Purge

President Donald Trump on Friday terminated Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman CQ Brown Jr., the country's highest-ranking military officer, from his position. Brown, a fighter pilot, was the second Black person to serve as Joint Chiefs chairman after Army Gen. Colin Powell held the role from 1989 to 1993.

Obama purged 197 senior officers, including General David McKiernan, the first theater commander sacked since the Korean War.

I am not sure why people are upset over civilian control of the military? AFAIK The US isn't some praetorianist country.

He's simply posting misinformation that's been circulating amongst rightwing media, desperately trying to excuse the Trump Administration's massive layoffs.

Also. None of the people who were laid off under previous administrations were done in order to justify passing a $4.5 trillion tax cut for the excessively wealthy.
