The CEO of Steve Jackson Games, maker of board, card and role-playing games such as the Munchkin line and GURPS, called the 54 percent tariff on goods imported from China a "seismic shift" for the industry. Meredith Placko said, "A product we might have manufactured in China for $3.00 last year could now cost $4.62 before we even ship it across the ocean. Add freight, warehousing, fulfillment, and distribution margins, and that once-$25 game quickly becomes a $40 product. That's not a luxury upcharge; it's survival math."

In March, Hasbro CEO Chris Cocks that "when you're talking about tariffs in the neighborhood of 20 percent plus, that's a cost that we can't fully accommodate. It will have to be passed on."

Doesn't King Dotard XIV have all his crap manufactured in China? Won't this hurt his bottom line?

Perhaps manufacturing and designing of most board games should have continued to be done in USA market instead of moving it to where the CCP profits and undercuts. Those that outsource production need to face tariffs.

Perhaps this horror just needs to hit you squarely between the eyes.

I don't expect anything out of you unless you're in pain.

Then you might start to squeal.

Trump tariffs could backfire in the oddest of places: stores that sell MAGA merch in SC

We will not go from a country and economy that has been conditioned to thrive on bankster debt without short - medium term pain. An indebted nation and central bank that promotes globalism, national and individual debt needs an income tax to have economic influence. Tariff based financing was once a significant basis of USA financing until early 1900s, did not encourage debt. The bankers want leverage and is why a central bank and income tax was ( unlawfully ) created.

Trump didn't mention pain at all.

As for the time frame? Trump promised that his Golden Age would be almost immediate.

Trump is a liar, ROBSON. So are you.

No kidding.

According to Lumpers this wouldn't happen if corporations had to pay taxes.

It's strange corporations are going to pay more taxes, and Lumpers are against it.

I am all for corporations paying more taxes.

"corporations are going to pay more taxes"

Only if they don't pass additional costs on to customers. You know...like businesses do.
