A group of shoplifters ransacked a Walgreens store Sunday as stunned onlookers and store personnel watched in another retail theft incident caught on video. Police said that officers responded at about 8:38 p.m. but that officers arrived to find the business was closed and no one was there to report the incident. It was not clear why police responded some four hours after the incident. "It's really sad because we don't really have any places to go shop anymore. Everything is closing down. Walgreens are closing down all over the place too." a frequent customer expressed with concern.

Well, have you considered defunding the police?

I've been assured by some criminal-lovers that shoplifting doesn't result in stores closing down.

They should really bring in some climatologists to see if they can stop the desert from spreading. The climate change is getting out of hand. Perhaps mandating certain days of the week they can loot. Potentially based off of if their EBT card ends in an odd or even number. Mondays 2:00 PM till 4:30 PM for odd end EBT's and Tuesdays 2:30PM to 5:00PM for even EBT holders. This way it will give them time to replenish the food forest.

If they aren't doing their jobs, why are they being funded so heavily?

Gotta spend that money buying surplus military equipment to deliver eviction notices of course.

What job did you want them to do when they're understaffed by 500 to 1,000 cops? The thieves left and the cops have to triage their calls, just like any other environment when there isn't enough personnel to go around.

And if you think eviction isn't a necessary police function, I can only take it that you've never had to pay a mortgage while some freeloader steals use of your property.

But yes, let's underfund/underhire cops, complain when they show up 4 hours later for a call, and then rely upon the honor system to have a functioning society. Can't see how that could possibly go wrong.

Walgreens deserves to be looted. That company is a corporate predator that puts smaller businesses out of business.

Doesn't add up.

Food deserts are everywhere?

How does the convenient apply after the retailer quit the lease?

Show your work.
