"Affinity, which is worth $3 billion, has received investments from Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and the United Arab Emirates, as well as corporate moguls like Terry Gou, who founded electronics giant Foxconn."

"These are all countries that Kushner worked with when his father-in-law, Donald Trump, was in the White House.

Kushner announced two of his biggest deals yet last month: a $500 million hotel and condominium complex in Serbia and two luxury developments in Albania.

Neither of these deals could have happened without Kushner's time working in the Trump administration, where he met the president of Serbia and the prime minister of Albania, who were directly involved in each respective deal.

During Trump's presidential term, Kushner likely made hundreds of millions of dollars. Those earnings also were controversial, particularly due to his business deals with countries such as Saudi Arabia and Qatar while meeting with them in his White House capacity."

Recently, Kushner told a Harvard University audience that he thought Gaza's beach coastline was "very valuable," essentially advocating for Israel ethnic cleansing the land to develop it.

If he continues in this vein, he might have to deal with more direct protests, like the ones that crashed his awards ceremony at an Anti-Defamation League event last month."

Like father in law like son in law.

Mr. Sparkle Pony seems to be doing quite well for himself. Odd he has not posted any bonds for family members in legal distress.

@#3 ... Odd he has not posted any bonds for family members in legal distress. ...

Oh, so now you expect him to be concerned about the family he married into, and has apparently exploited?

What is wrong with you?

I blame a sugar cane based product of Barbados.

@#5

Yeah, sucrose may do that to you. :)

Still, I ask, does Mr Kushner have a laptop?

Stated differently, will a fabricated, without provenance, laptop appear?

So little time, so many questions.

One of those questions is...

Why do Republicans seem to spend so much effort (oh so much effort) on Mr Hunter Biden's laptop, when it seems that Mr Kushner has a far more substantiated trail of groping for foreign money?

I've got more, but I'll start with that one. ...

It is kind of interesting how Jarvanka went dark like that.

Uday and Qusay seem more addicted to the limelight... among other things.

OK, taking a different approach...

OpEd: "Unprecedented": Jared Kushner's "unusual" dependence on foreign money shocks other investors
finance.yahoo.com

... Technically, it would not be accurate to say that literally all of the investment money that's been flowing to Jared Kushner since he left the White House has come from foreign sources, such as the governments he worked with while serving former President Donald Trump. The actual figure, as reported by The New York Times on Tuesday, is "just" 99 percent, the vast majority of the $3 billion raised thus far coming from authoritarian governments.

It's an arrangement -- Kushner cashing in on relationships forged while his father-in-law was the president -- that at the very least constitutes an appearance of impropriety.

It is also far from the norm, experts say. ...

Well, his father-in-law also pardoned his father who went to prison for a pile of criminal charges.

... am I the only one who notices an apparent lack of current aliases on this thread? ...

While I do miss the often opposing viewpoints (they keep me alert) ...

I do note the apparent disappearance of multiple current aliases as a similar time.

What's up with that?

Did someone (or some team) go to bed?

If so, in what time zone?

@#9 ... his father-in-law also pardoned his father ...

Whoa, wait, what?

Or maybe, WTF????

Found this...

Trump Pardons Roger Stone, Paul Manafort And Charles Kushner (December 2020)
www.npr.org

... President Trump issued dozens more pardons on Wednesday evening to many wealthy and well-connected convicts with ties to his innermost circles, including former campaign chairman Paul Manafort, Republican operative Roger Stone and Charles Kushner, the father-in-law of Ivanka Trump. ...

Whoa, wait, what?

I thought that was common knowledge. Jared inherited the family business when his father went to prison. Sparkle Pony Lewzer pardoned him.

@#12 ... I thought that was common knowledge. Jared inherited the family business when his father went to prison. ...

It was the first I can recall hearing about that.

Wow.

This is gonna take a while to sink in...

I had not known of the taint regarding the Kushner family.

Need time to process...

(meanwhile, one of the disk drives on the data server down in the basement is telling my that it is having issues writing data to one of the disks in the array. So far, no data lost (thank you FreeBSD and ZFS)). Juat a lot of , "hey look here" messages in the logs and in emails.

A new disk arrived today, so I know what I'll be doing tomorrow...

zpool replace pool device

And then about 15 hours later, the data server will be back to its norm...

I did this process once before when another, older disk drive started to have issues.

One thing I like about all this, is that FreeBSD and ZFS give me ample warning before any data are lost. I can correct the problem, and be happy.

:)

Trumpers on this thread: ZERO

Hunter biden making a few million while his dad was VP is an impeachment worthy scandal, but Kushner making BILLIONS while IN CHARGE OF MIDEAST POLICY in the trump administration is nothing to look into.

I know, right?

I should have titled it, Where Jared Kushner's Trans Investors Came From?

Then they'd be all over the thread.

As a Jew, I've got to say he's a complete embarrassment, not for any religious or cultural reasons. He's just a greasy weasel of a human being. I don't care how many elevators he avoids on the Sabbath.

Jared started out as a chancer and now stands as a superb example of what the Irish call a "creeping Jesus."

(It's not a flattering term.)
